Just so that everyone knows, the reason the alternators are not included in the group buy, is that my markup on them is 12%. If I were to offer the alternators at 10% off, and with the free shipping, I would actually lose money on the alternators. The alternators are not really my big items. My big items are the Stage 1 and Stage 4 Cable kits.

@allmotorrex, I can understand wanting to stand back off this, but to be honest, the way the factory alternator is wired up, the regular Big 2 kits won't work with high output alternators. The reason being on the Tacoma the alternator cable goes to the fuse box, through the 80 or 130A alt fuse, then through another wife to the battery. To properly and safely connect a 250A alternator, you would need the output to go directly to the battery, then a 8 gauge cable from the battery to the fuse block where the alternator USED to be connected. This is why I say my Kits are better. I don't just upgrade 3 cables. I upgrade FIVE cables so that your system is properly done. Just a little food for thought.

Makes perfect sense about the alternator pricing. And I gotcha on the cables. I'd be in on a stage 1 kit if doing the wiring now will work in the future for the 250a alt.

All of the kits in the GB will have the alternator cables sized for a 250A alternator.

Good to know. Whenever the chance arises, put me down for a Stage 1 kit then. Thanks for the clarifications

OK. Me and @Whitecloud just can't stop laughing our asses off here. I hear all of these comments about the IBS systems and it keeps making me laugh! IBS is a medical term used to describe Irritable Bowel Syndrome. So every time I read of a Tacoma having IBS, I keep thinking the truck has the $hits! LMAO.
