as some one in the real estate business (not a realtor), I suggest to sell or don't buy!. We've blasted threw 2007 highs. The Fed's can't raise interest rates, kill our economy literally overnight.

It's starting to look alittle shaky now the way the news talks.

Not any more..3/36 on the stuff that goes bad and ..GM lowered the powertrain coverage to 5 years 60K....Wonder why?

They offered that 100K power train warranty for the same reason Hyundai and KIA offered them...think about it.

Nothing wrong with an interest rate hike of 25 basis points if it precludes inflation. (except for bond holders) Rampant Inflation is far worse for the economy than a quarter percent interest hike. (see Carter years)

Buy bank stocks before the rate hike. To look at all the buyers on this Forum of 16s and the 16 Miata ND forums, the economy is doing pretty good......Toyota will sell everyone they make without huge blowout advertising.

No one expected GM to outsell the Tacoma. They are selling more than GM expected. 100,000 per year for the first year is quite successful.

I wish it would, but my prediction is that it won't. Toyota won't bring diesels to the US.

Sales of the twins are quite successful, as they should be....they are very nice trucks. But Toyota is firing back pretty heavily, and GM has a history of f'n up when the heat is on.

Toyota would be nuts to think about US diesel right now. They already have the government thinking they have ties with ISIS because of the heavy use of their trucks in the middle east LOL. VW/Audi is far from over with the diesel scandal.... the US is scrutinizing diesel cars hard right now.... I'm not saying GM did anything wrong at all, but I am sure their execs are not thrilled with diesel being under the microscope.

Yeah look at the history of the Tacoma. It has always gone for "just adequate". QDR is priority #1 for Toyota, even if that means they lag behind in the specs pissing contests.

In my opinion, the Tacoma refresh looks a bit rushed to me. It really is more of a refresh than a redesign.

I'm glad that GM is back in the market, as this puts heat on Toyota to keep improving the Taco -- Toyota had basically let it rot because there was no competition. Nissan is going to be bringing out an updated Frontier soon, and the rumor is that Ford is reconsidering bringing back the Ranger. The more the merrier.

No one said it was a redesign from the ground up....why would they do that... everyone loves the Taco. Considering it's a completely different engine and interior with many new features, it's certainly a new generation of the truck though.

I'm glad the GM twins are back in the market, but am starting to feel the mid-size market is getting too trendy. I'm sure all the full size guys are lovin' it... "yea yea, all the kids want a midsize, to go with their beards and skinny jeans." lol

It's impossible for any company (not just automotive) to be 100% perfect all the time....you're gonna get some lemons no matter what....doesn't mean that their 1st priority is not QDR.

Especially the way cars are mass produced today. Your going to have one screw up every once in a while.

Millions of people love the F-150, but Ford brought out a completely new F-150 just last year. The Taco is 10 years old, and I think Toyota should have brought out a completely new truck.

Yes, it has a new interior, but the cab is the same, the frame is pretty much the same. It is a refresh. I'm surprised that Toyota brought it out with a 6-speed transmission, rather than an 8-speed like the Land Cruiser.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is a good truck. But I also think Toyota could have made it better. I suspect that Toyota hadn't planned on much of a refresh, but then had to scramble when they learned GM was bringing out the twins.

I like F150s and think Ford has done a great job with them, but I am pretty sure the quickest way to get shown the door at Toyota is to follow Ford. lol. The Taco is the best selling small/mid size truck year after year after year... and has the best resale value out of any vehicle in the US......so yea, let's build a completely new truck 'cause Ford did. I'm sure the Toyota execs would love that idea.

If the F150 is completely new I think the Tacoma qualifies too. F150 -2 out of 3 engines are the same, body is similar, frame and suspension the same, not sure about the tranny
