Thats like the one I was going to. It was a Golds Gym. Didnt have shit but a bunch of weights. Nobody talked to ya, never more than 12 people in there...I liked it. BUT...they went out of business, so I got on with my Mom and Dad on some bull shit "Fammilly Plan" at another Gym. Meh.....

I saved some cash and bought a power rack and a few other things now I have everything I need at home. Paid for and don't have to wait on someone doing curls in the squat rack.

Your better off taking some MMA classes for that reason. Put a 200lb body builder vs. a 150lb MMA fighter and see what happens.

oh trust me i would much prefer taking mma classes but at $100/month compared to my $0/month

it doesnt fit in my budget currently along with the fact that i work nights and the classes dont fit my schedule

Lifetime is killer. I went there for a while until I moved, and now there isn't one close to me. Instead my town just built a new rec center that is basically just like a lifetime but half the price since I'm a resident :p

I've heard people refer to weights as money before. A 45 pound plate would be called a "plate" and that's it.

I hate when jerk offs do half reps with "heavy weight", phones in the gym, assholes that wear overloads of cologne, bench stealers, guys doing exercises wroung then telling youngsters that is how it is done.

I love the wandering scantily clad females that bounce around sometimes, laughing at chicken legs, telling the chatters "less talking more working", and when someone askes what to you do for arms? and reply with "Nothing".

The gym is my sactuary, I get away from work, all the BS that is flying around, and rock loud tunes.

This bugs me too. I'll lift for 40 minutes and a guy will be on the same bench the entire time. I wonder how long these types of people actually spend at the gym? I couldn't stand being there for hours and hours.

pssshhhh weights, I don't lift weights...they're too heavy.

Really though I love the gym right next to our pier here on base. Its usually pretty packed when I get off work but they have nice equipment and they keep the place clean and not sweaty smelling. $0 a month and it's got everything I need. The only thing I really don't like about going to military gyms is, like many of y'all have said, the top heavy muscle heads babysitting their biceps on one machine all day.
