Mush Mouse, that customtacos thread also mentioned not to worry about perceived lift from the Moogs. They were new and so, either hadn't settled or the poster hadn't realized what he took off had sagged.

TACO TX, that pic is with 5100 still set to 0, or did you raise it as mentioned you might?

It's on the 2nd notch for 1.25" of lift.

looks good TACO TX. I'm thinking of going this route instead of the OME880. Just purchasing little by little as the bank account will allow, I got my General HD springs yesterday!

You will have some settling in the front as well as the rear. I bought a 1yr/unlimited mileage alignment from Sears just for this reason. The leaf packs will take 4-500 miles to settle in and give you actual ride height. The rear will sit very high to start, and remember to torque everything down after weight is on the suspension.

How much did the 1 year unlimited alignment cost you? And is it just for the front or all 4 wheels?

There is only 2 wheel alignment on our trucks. The rear is not adjustable and it was $90. I have used it twice so far.

yes I just had the new front struts put on with new strut bushings and coil spring isolators and reused the OEM progressive rate springs(254K miles) I am satisfied with the new ride and handling, had a Toyota dealer put on the front struts and alignment cost for that>>$400:eek: 3.5 hours labor and alignment $100. I f I were to do it again with my high mileage and that I don't want to invest a lot more money I would try using the KYB Gas Adjust shocks all round and save some cash, since I am not looking for any lift. But I can verify that the the 4600s are a good HD shock and can take a licking and keep on ticking.

Someone said my rear right side wheel was leaning and was pushed forward. And I might have to do that. Sense I already aligned my truck twice but need to realigned it once more after I get rid of my driver side lean.

If your rear wheel is leaning and/or pushed to the front then there is an issue somewhere. The leafs attach to the frame and the rear end bolts to them. Nothing is adjustable. Has the truck ever been involved in a accident?

I managed to get my new 4600's on without inventing any new swear words... I guess I really don't notice that much of a difference from what I had (original Toyota) as far as smooth running on rough roads. One thing I did notice though, the steering seems to be more responsive. I was hoping they would take away some of the body roll too. But, I guess they are installed and ready for another 200k, assuming the rest of the truck holds up.

Think of body rolls as "long events" vs hitting a bump which is a "short event." So stiffer springs resist body roll, not so much shocks, even "stiff" ones (compared to stiff springs.) For example, there are track cars that lack anti-sway bars but their springs are so stiff they don't lean.

Yea it's probably a spring issue if you are still having a lot of body roll.
