Yeah, Im sort of wondering how the whole wiring deal would go if I get my frame done. My flatbed uses a pretty shoddy "harness". Who knows, they might not even reinstall the bed at all :p Id love to see a pic of your frame all done! Be nice to see a 1st gen with a decent frame for a change

I'll try and get some tomorrow when I'm welding the sliders.

I took pictures but I can't seem to upload them through my phone. I won't be on a computer for a week or so

Here are the pics. I did notice the one exhaust bracket near the cat was never bolted on. Other than that it made it 2500 miles across the country.

Anyone know why I can't seem to post photos from google photos? I have done it in the past no problem.

I personally have never used google photos, but I highly recommend imgur. It's what I've always used and works well.

Hey Ryan, did you have sliders welded on your old frame? They couldn't tell or didn't care?

I figured toyota would try to pitch a fit crying weld on sliders rust, you weld frame rust, your problem rust lol

Congrats on escaping this rust trap state. Colorado will be a blast!

No they didn't care because the rust wasn't near the sliders. I made sure that wouldn't be an issue before I welded them on. I had to cut them off the old frame unless I wanted them to do it for $100 an hour.

I like using google just because as soon as I snap the pic it is automatically backed up. Maybe imgur can do this too?

That's good to know, I always wondered if they would void anything.

I doubt it, I've never looked though. The automatic backup sounds like a good idea though. I agree there

They work now :) The paint on it seems much heavier duty than normal? Any special order or was it just like that? Looks great. I'm reconsidering having toyota look at mine now. Too bad I just spent 3 days POR15ing the thing. Did you get new UCAs too?

No nothing special as far as I know. No just the lowers. I bought a used one and cleaned it up a bit that's why it looks new.

I've thought about doing that. But the state of the bushings / bolts on my current ones are pretty bad. Don't need another headache. Glad it worked out for you! I had a case set up and everything for mine, the dealer never called me back. I said F it and just did what I could by myself. I have to get the spare tire carrier done soon anyway, I'll do a frame inspection at the same time.

Makes sense while you are there. Good luck!

I'm hoping to get aftermarket UCA's soon so I wasn't to worried about the condition of the bushings.
