it will be totally weather dependent if I camp or not. In a perfect world, I'll be cooking my grouse dinner under my awning and waking up in the mountains Sunday morning.

Yes, I WILL be up there. Just a matter of when/where I catch up to you guys. I will try to get off early, but there always seems to be people calling 911 right before I'm suppossed to get off shift.

I should be on the road at 9ish, hopefully only 45 mins behind you guys.

CB and new tires/wheels aren't going to make it this trip... :frusty:

I convinced a coworker to come up to in his Chev-ota as well. He should be getting an earlier start but is on 42"s so I'll catch up w/ him.

We both have nerded up on the trail maps and will catch up w/ you guys.

ooohhhh I hear ya!! the $$ is to rich for my blood. But I think its pretty sick. Those are the total costs for the packages they are putting together at full price. The GB prices haven't came out yet. The other one I like is the Prinsu racks but I like how the Gobi has side rails and a flat bottom ( to me it would allow you to mount/put more stuff in the basket, Gear, Pelican cases, Tire, camping stuff

People put pelican type cases, tires, gear etc.. on the Prinsu all the time, thats what ill be doing when I get mine. And for less than half the price of that. Granted the GB prices haven't come out yet but still it won't be below $1000

Definitely wet up there. I just got home. We had fun up there, it was a wet muddy mess. Really wanted to camp, but right as we got to where camp would be it just started dumping, and got really windy. Almost blew my awning over the truck. Got really wet tying down the awning and just said fuck it and went to the Brick. It got cold too, wouldn't be surprised if it snowed up there tonight. @JDAM camped up there, brave soul. I dunno what's up with my camera but most of the pics I took looked like shit, which wasn't a lot to start with. I'll go through them again tomorrow and post any that look OK.

+1 for the brick. I knew around 1pm it was gonna be nasty up there. I did pickup a temporary setup for my RTT.

    https://www.yakima.com/bedrock-2
Gotta love rei's return policy. I know this isn't gonna be my permanent setup.

Upon some closer measurements, my rise on the rack I want to build only needs to be 6" to keep the top of the RTT closed level with the cab of the truck.
