FRONT RUNNER SLIMLINE ROOF RACK's? PICs?

I just noticed water spots

 

I did see that on Amazon. Pricey, but I guess I shouldn't complain if I want to protect my $1000 light bar. What did you use to secure it to the rack? Looks like you drilled directly into the rack?

 

Yeah. Just drilled a hole on each side that connects to the rack channel and secured it with a nylock

 

I think I'll replace all my metal washers with nylon ones Damn rust!... Lol

 

If you want to go crazy you can mount duallys on the corners. I used nylon spacers to elevate the pods above the rack edge so I could angle them. Great 45 degree lights!

 

I also ordered some extra rubber track trim for gaps incase I slide items onto the roof. Comes in handy.. The quick fists you see hold my paddles for my SUP. You might not need those

 

It's nice to know that one can drill holes directly into the rack and not have to worry about rust. The 45* angle lights are a nice touch. I have an extra Rigid Industries SR-M light I may play around with.

 

Rick, were you able to run the wiring for the Duallys down the same windshield channel as the light bar?

 

I actually tied the duallys into the main light bar. I figured if I ever use that top light bar they mine as well all be on.

 

That makes a lot of sense actually, given the rather narrow beam pattern of the RI SR2 light.

 

I was told by Bryan at FRO that the SR should be able to fit without having to delete the wind deflector. Not quite seeing how it would fit at the moment but going to keep playing around with the mounting brackets. Looks like @Idaholandho was able to make it fit. Not sure if he's running it without the wind deflector, though.

If it was mounted that way the wind deflector would be useless. I suggest you mount it in front of the rack like mine. I think it would give a better light angle up higher as well as allow the wind deflector to be used. My 2 cents..

 

I do like your setup, Squint but I'm not sure how it would look with a single row. When I tested the light tonight, I placed the light bar on top of the rack. It was at a good angle so I'm hoping that placing it under the rack wouldn't change it too much. So many options !

Anybody have this on their shell and can tell me if it will mount directly to the yakima tracks I already have on my truck?
