I'm not quite sure why, but your truck appears to have much more lift than just a leveling kit.

Waiting for my dclb but am shopping already. I've read that the new ones maybe sit an inch or so higher. I had a 13 that I really like the height of, 2.25 lift in from and 1 inch in the back with 32.5 tires. On the new truck should I go with that same setup or would less of a lift accommodate a 32.5 since it sits higher to start with?

The first number is the width of the tire in mm. The second number is the aspect ratio between width and height of the tire. As in the height is 75% of 255. The 75 in his 255/75 tires is what makes them bigger than the stock 265/65s. As the numbers suggest, they are narrow.

Does the Limited have rear locker and crawl control like the Off-Road package?

Here are a couple of pictures of my new baby. I went back to the tire shop (discount tires) and they said that the problem with the bigger tire on the stock wheels was that the offfset on these new wheels are smaller. I asked about the wheel spacers but they didn't recommend it. They offered to change my 285s for 265s which solved the problem. I got almost $150 back and the truck really drives much better, the size really isn't much of a difference, a little narrower but the height is pretty much the same.

As far as the leveling kit goes, as you can see in the pictures, it is slightly sitting up higher in the front end which I personally don't really care for. I took in the truck to a friend that works at the service department at my local Toyota dealership and they measured the difference in height which in fact the front is about 3/4 inch higher than the back. My friend suggested that I go back to the lift shop and have them put it a smaller spacer to level off the truck like I wanted and paid for from the very beginning. I guess they put in a 2.5 in spacer, do you guys think that a 1-1.5 would do help level off the truck?

I will post some new pictures after the new spacer is put in, hopefully tomorrow.

    Thanks.

usually a 1/1.5" block in the rear is standard for a leveling kit. did they just install half the package or did you not want to add the rear blocks or aal?

They only added the front spacers. Some else suggested that I ask about the rear blocks but I would prefer not to modify anything in the back. Do you think that they may be able to just change the front spacers to some smaller ones?

you can check out this site for more options on front and rear. http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Tacoma-05-15_c_11.html

I would probably just add a rear block.

Thanks for the info, are they any cons of adding the rear block? Will it mess with the suspension. Like I said, I'm fairly new to the whole leveling/lift thing.

Adding the rear block is same concept as the front spacers... Put a block of metal in there to raise it up a bit. If you're okay with a spacer, you should be fine with the block

if its just going to be a street queen, you'll be fine. if your planning on doing some offroading, go with some AAL.

If you just spent money on an extended warranty, I wouldn't take anyone's "word" for
it, I'd go down and get it in writing.
