Truck has a shitty 3" spacer/block lift on worn stock shocks. Good opportunity to upgrade suspension and lift with an ome kit.

So the consensus is that you have a front spacer lift, well there's your problem. That's why it rides rough.

Popular vendor here, and I there are others that bundle it.

But new shocks with that lift kit removed will restore stock height and give a much better ride than what you have. The OME and other solutions will raise the truck (from stock height, not from your present height) and give a firmer ride than stock. Overall that would be better for a more sporting ride/heavier payloads, but a completely stock setup might make you happier given your stated usage. Not trying to talk you out of anything.

I can't see any blocks in the rear or lift shackles.

that being said you should remove that spacer in the front and try riding without it before spending any money. you could even throw some weight in the bed and see how different it is.

I can't find the shock number by searching but I'm wondering if they already put new rear springs cause even at 115k those are pretty arched.
I'm hoping the previous owners didn't put the ext cab/dc parts on just to give it that lift/harsh ride. hard to tell.

image.jpg So I was looking at leaf springs and it looks like the tail side is curved but other side is straight. I always thought it was to look like a C shape?image.jpgimage.jpg

Hmm. No lift blocks. Thats deffinatly a 3" lift spacer up front. Looked pretty level in pic but it might not be lifted in the rear. It does look like it though

Why would there be the 3" spacer in front and nothing in the back? It does seem high that's what people say. I have to tip toe to get in and I'm 6 ft. I'm thinking the previous owner was a Duckhunter because there was a CD of duck calls in the stereo when I bought it "off topic"

Is that a 4th leaf at the bottom in the pic? (Not the downward facing overload)

Edit: just seen in pic that you do infact have an aal. (add a leaf)

Hey Lefty, I bought a truck similar to yours a few weeks ago and it's a little tall and the ride is a bit choppy, but yours must be a killer. You have one extra layer of leaf spring in the back and a 2" (ish) spacer above the coil spring in the front as compared to mine.
