I have Duratracs on my XJ and love them. But I think I'm going to run KO2's on the Taco.

I had KO's on 2 of my 4runners. They wore out faster than the Duratracs and weren't as good in the snow (still good, just not as good.) Plus I still think the Duratracs are lighter? Correct me if I'm wrong

I'll have to look up the weights. If KO2's are significantly heavier, I'll stick with what I know works - Duratracs. I was just curious to try the KO2's...I know several people that have run the original KO's on jeeps and love them.

Yeah I liked both just liked the Duratracs a little more mostly because of the snow aspect. I'll go with one of the two for sure though

Because Gen 3 haters are so full of shit, they have to "relieve themselves" in every Gen 3 thread. Gen 2 threads are probably filled up.

Installed my first dimple then removed it.
Gotta love all the people who don't actually own a 2016, pitching in on a thread asking actual owners what they think.
As an owner my only complaint is that when I was at a drive in theater the other day, the radio didn't stay on for the whole movie. Had to hit the button about 3 times during the movie. Hopefully there is a setting I can adjust the amount of time the radio stays on without the engine running.

I will be checking on this thread for sure. I'm looking into buying the new one next year (waiting for the last of 2016 model clear out)
Mainly cause I want to see the reviews after a year or so of ownership. Plus I still need to figure out how I will part with driving a car more than a truck. After having 6 different cars always heavily modified and tuned...upsizing to a truck is gonna be awkward. But I need the cargo space and such so it has to happen.

But either way I am really interested in the on road reviews. I've been in the tacomas before and they're usually pretty kick ass off road. So really interested in terms of highway driving, handling, power etc. WINTER REVIEWS ESPECIALLY. And waiting to see what performance mods are available for this

I've always owned cars haha, factory tires are almost always sold. Rather have a low profile. mind you I used to spend every weekend at the track but that got too expensive. but agree either way. factory tires are always boring...unless you're talking the audi s models...factory is michelin pilot supersports <3

If they put aggressive tires on it then their claimed MPG's wouldn't look nearly as good. They're already pretty lackluster with a street tire.

I've read every post. I'll go back and reread your posts if that satisfies your special ego.

    Sample size of one? Excellent.

The GY Adventures have been good to me, best I could fine short of an MT. And any tire can get punctured if you hit it just right.

I never understand the sweeping generalizations and conclusions around here based on a single data point.

I only bring this up because there are tons of shitty AT tires out there, and Toyota should be thanked for putting something at least decent on the truck that is good enough for most users.

Anything more aggressive and it would just be more couch potato ass hats "off roading" down the nearest interstate with a loud humming sound to pick up some more busch light. Let the people who actually need more aggressive tires go buy them themsevles.

I've been off-roading for quite a while, and I've only once had a sidewall puncture. And that one time was when I was running inadequate tires.

The 2016 fuel tank protector/skid plate is the same one that's on the 2015. They're both plastic, it's been plastic since 2005.
