Toyota owns Subaru so not surprising. Edit: well they own a big stake in it so I'm sure designers work together.

Camrys are made on one line at the Subaru plant in Indiana but since Subaru sales are booming they are taking their line back next year.

Hahahah. I just sold a 2014 XV Crosstrek to buy my new 16' Tacoma.
It was a good car. I'm just a truck guy.

Did you ever have any oil burning issues? Thinking about getting one for the wife, and have read many reports about it.

Man to be honest, I have not changed the oil in that car for about 10k miles now. I did add a quart a few weeks ago. The oil light came on.
I would get a Outback over the Crosstrek if I could do it over again. The outback has more room and it doesn't ghost walk while driving on the highway in the snow. That is my biggest complaint about the Crosstrek.
Google search "Crosstrek Ghost Walk" and read up on that. It feels like you're driving a rwd car in the snow. I had to drive 45 on the way home to Ohio from Michigan in a snow storm one time while semis and pickups with trailers nearly blew me off the road. It was embarrising.
There is something wrong with the ride height vs. suspension on that thing or something.
The dealer told me I shouldn't be driving 45 on a snow covered road. :(
I used to do the speed limit (65) on a two lane divided highway in my 99 and 05 grand Cherokee and my 2011 Tundra in 3" of snow. How will a AWD Subaru not do it?

Lots of vehicles are coming out with those kinds of wheels.

Crosstreks wheels are supposedly modeled after a snowflake.

And the half redesigned Crosstreks will debut October 28th :spy:

It doesn't. Toyota is just a minority shareholder in FHI.

Subaru BRZ and Scion FRS... Toyota and Subie are obviously doing things together. Whether or not that has anything to do with the wheel resemblance I have no idea.

Toyota had Subaru build the frs engine. Then Subaru said "hey I want one too" and built their own.

So yes...they are the same vehicle more or less.
