    Hello,

I want to lift my truck 3-4 inches and I need some help from you guys with what lift kits I should go with.what would you guys recommend? I have a 09 Tacoma v6 4.0, 4dr, short bed and it's 2wd. I don't really go off-roading.

    Thank you so much.

Top right of your screen says search, type in 3" lift and you should have a few hundred threads to look at.
Each type of lift has its pros and cons

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Go for a body lift. Cheap, maybe a few hundred dollars. Looks great. terrible (even dangerous) offload.

PM me and I can send you contact info for a guy on here that makes a solid body lift kit in his garage for super cheap. Seriously. I have his 1" lift on my truck. But you can get 2", 3" 8" whatever suits you.

I'm very new to this, I'd say around $2k!! Is that possible? I wanna decent lift that will not mess up my truck.

I'd recommend a bilstein 5100 lift over a body lift anyday. Probably the same price range too.
    Just my opinion

Here is my truck with a 3" OME lift (settled down to about 2.5") and a 1" body lift. Probably spent $100 on the body lift and about $3000 on the OME suspension lift (total cost for everything including new TotalChaos UCAs).

For 2wd best option is spindle lift. 4" and you keep your truck geometry all good maintain stock ride quality. It's cheap too. You should not drop thousands of dollars on a lift kit if you are never going off-road.

I don't know a ton about it because I'm 4x4 but be sure to do some research on spindle lifts before you do anything. From what I have read that is the way to go for 2wd

It would help to ask these questions in a second gen forum...
Id go with this option though^^^ if your looking to actually drop some coin on the setup. Some fox coilovers would be great to go with aswell!

Are you a prerunner or a little 5 lug 2wd!? If a 5 lugger id go with the spindle lift as vandaltaco mentioned. But i have no 2nd gen suspension experience so idk if thats a possibility?? Again, you should go poke in over on the 2nd gen forums for this info....
