Put a 01-04 center console in

Put an under seat powered sub in

It definitely won't win any drag races, but it will win many a marathons.

    Seats, not supportive or adjustable.

Specifically the attachment of the side panel. It falls off when you roll out of the seat as the seats scrunch up on the sides. I dont even have mine on anymore.

Also stupid placement of the oil and fuel filters.

source you some 01-04 seats, they sit up higher and have much better support and wont have the problems you talk about.

I agree the filter placements are just stupid, someone was high on drugs when they decided where to put them or they did it without the engine in the truck because both are a supreme PITA to reach or replace without being covered in oil or gas. even the 3.4 that's under the drivers seat doesn't have slack in the lines to let you replace it so its pouring gas on you the whole time even after the lines are depressurized

I have an 04 PreRunner V6 4X4 and I think the seats don't go back far enough... I am not extremely tall (6') and need a few more inches of travel room on the drivers seat.
EDIT: Also they could go a little lower I sit just too dang high.

Might look into that, but there may be two problems with what your suggestion. I'm 6'2, and am already sit as high as i would comfortably want to (i wouldnt mind being an inch lower in the seat). Also I tried replacing some dash parts with clean ones from a 01-04, and noticed that the grey is a different shade from the 97-00, as well the fabric pattern is different. If i got some Wet Okoles, i guess the latter wouldnt matter.

the height difference is the foam is a little thicker AND stiffer so it doesn't squish much meaning you sit about a full inch higher even though the seats are technically still sitting at the same height. the 96-00 seats you sink into but the 01-04 you sit "on" and not "in" if that makes sense. one drawback is you get the flat but issue after driving a couple hours because its much firmer.

all you really need to do is swap out just the bottom cushions, they simply unbolt from the seat frame with two 12mm bolts on each side under the plastic covers.

I actually wish there was something in the middle of both, with just a little less firmness to it but not that not soft sinking in feel like of the 96-00 seats, so you don't get the flat but after a few hours

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I hate the seats, too thin and flimsy for me, they kill my low back on long drives and give me a sharp pain in my legs from the knee down. The clock location is a joke too but I don't really care, I wear a wristwatch so pay no attention to the dash clock.
The oil filter location isn't a big deal for me, I work in a oil change shop and have seen a lot worse for filter locations on cars.

    Ditto

I got one of these from Amazon, hoping it would solve by back issues on long drives (ive been driving from Los Angeles to Phoenix a lot the last few months). Unfortunately, being 6'2 i was nearly touching the ceiling with it on the seat.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NHYT36I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00

If youre 5'10 or less, it would probably be perfect.

My passenger seat squeaks when I hit a bump. Sometimes I put my arm around it just to make it shut up. My air blower will sometimes chirp, sometimes turning it off then back on will make it stop.
