This Gen 3 thread is to support actual owners, people who ordered and enthusiasts of the Third Gen Tacoma. Not here for people who don't own an ND and will not buy one to come and point out all the perceived flaws, weaknesses, and limitations.

If you own a Third Gen and have criticisms of your Truck, then by all means, post it here. However, if you are not a Third Gen owner, your criticisms are not welcome here. USe the rest of the forum If you want to "discuss your negative opinions" ie Crap in threads, of the Third gen feel free to do so in the Second Gen Section.

I implore all who enter this thread to use the handy ignore button for those who cannot follow this simple request.Right click on their name and click ignore .Let's try keep this thread clean.

There needs to be a place where real owners and enthusiast can congregate and share their experiences and challenges without all the, Shit throwing, bashing and sophomoric humor.

Doesn't work for some long time members. Ignore works better.

Everything has been great so far with our SR5, but there is one thing I wish our truck had that I'm seeing on the Limited and I believe it's also on the TRD models. The LED daytime light bar in the head lamp. It's personal preference, but I like the look of it.

    I'll play...

The new truck and I are still in the bliss of our honeymoon. Just getting to know one another. I've driven only 200 miles; mostly highway, but some city and also off-roading (nothing my wife's RAV-4 woulda struggled with).

Likes: She's cute (a head-turner) and thrifty (still knocking down 24 mph...)

Dislikes: As others have noted, having to keep up with a mechanical key for the tailgate is annoying. The faux chrome bumper is straight up "county fair." The bucket seat ain't made for anyone with "booty pop." Still trying to get use to her long snout. The rear-view camera is all that, but I need a front view one before I accidently create a drive-through garage.

Special Pleasures: This is my 3rd marriage with a Tacoma. I dumped my old Gen I for this wild thing. The instrumentation, gadgets, and electronics tricks are mind-blowing.

    I think she's a keeper...

While on The build page, Info on Prem/Tech pkg makes it sound like LED DRL was only with Prem/Tech pkg but i was wrong.

007TRUCK, that is correct.... the LED DRL's are standard on the TRD and higher packages.

HEy man good luck with it....Having had the GEN 2 the back seat is always down on mine.I carry my Costco run stuff and Home Depot stuff in the cabin..In fact everything that does not fit in the bed. Looking for a rubber mat for that area

You can buy the painted pieces of the bumper. It comes in three pieces. I cannot imagine those plastic bits would be expensive. Toyota Designed them to be replaced.

i Love love love the tech.....Every trip is noted with fuel economy..On the compass screen one can see the posted speed limit. I am discover new things every day. The JBL system is the shyte!! I stopped by my Dealer today just to say thanks for a great deal on a great truck...Now if I can get my wife out of a CRV and into a RAV.........

I love the red ever since seeing Sam's in San Diego. I just could never keep it clean. After my OCD with my 08 Vette I am done with polishing and preening. The Miata gets wiped down now and the. The truck...not so much.White is forgiving. Silver even more so......

I am thinking I might want to buy the Limited Chrome fog light surround......when parts become available

I have put about 1400 miles on the truck, mpg averaging between 20-21.
