    Afternoon all:
    I'm good with sarsaparilla also!

Went out hunting this morning--NOTHING, but had a young porcupine walk about 20' from me.
Of course I didn't have the camera along. :( Then it started raining as I was walking out and I got pretty wet! :(:(
It could have been worse, now a thunderstorm is passing through and it's pouring!

Should have thrown your hat at the porcupine, buddy of mine did and managed to get the hat back; looked pretty cool with quills sticking out of it.

The only thing that beats a bad day hunting or fishing, is a good day hunting or fishing. ;)

I'll make the same offer here as I did to the fortys. If anyone wants to go for a ride in a 55-foot articulated bucket lift, stop on by. Bring a paint brush.

WHAT, and ruin a perfectly good hat, would look cool though!

Seems like there's more bad days of hunting than good days anymore, they really have the deer heard thinned out in our area. Like I said before, on the first day of buck there was almost constant shooting for at least an hour and a half, of course a lot of them were misses! You don't hear that anymore, not even close and that was buck only.
The best thing to hear was BANG----- BANG BANG BANG , that would be a guy with a pump that isn't taking the time to aim and there's a buck that he missed heading somewhere else---hopefully in my direction!:) Now, if you heard only a single shot, even sometime the thump, that was a done deer :(, unless it was me doing the shooting! :)

In my younger days I did a lot of hunting. Not that much to hunt here, but the bird & deer season always had me out. We had feral goat hunting too. Those were eradication hunts. With 4 of us sitting on a ridge firing at a line of em coming down the opposite ridge, it sounded like a war zone. I would bring two boxes of ammo & blow it all. We would butcher them in the field, taking only the meat. Fun times, & a lot of goat jerky!

    Evening all:
Feral goats; first time I heard of that. Good to hear you used them instead of just letting them go to waste. We don't have them yet, but feral pigs are becoming a big problem in some states.

:p That's what my neighbors say too! I'm no fan of heights either, especially ladders. But for the most part I'm fine in this thing.

    Morning all:
Me no like heights either, the roof on a rancher is about my comfort zone! When I built the garage and had to go higher on a stepladder, I edged my height tolerance up a notch only because I had to!

I have a set of used gray floor mats for a 2009 Access Cab. Used maybe for a few days. Cost is FREE if you can use them.

I could have used it yesterday. I had 2 large branches to remove and dispose of.

I have 6 trees I need to use it on. Branches are too high for me to reach from my ladder :(

Trimming back trees on a ladder is not the brightest thing to do. Hard enough to get away from a falling branch when you are on the ground.

    Afternoon all:
Can you reach the branches with an extendable power pole saw Sue? I rented one for four hours for $40 awhile back. That thing worked great.

Just called the Toyota garage, those new headlights are terrible! I adjusted them so I can see better with the low beam, but now the high beam is way too high. When I drove it the first time at night, it looks like there is a horizontal line halfway up the windshield W/ 1/2 the windshield having the light and the other half dark. When I went into a dip, I could barely see anything further than 20', and I almost had to be right next to a turnoff before I could see it.
Even with them adjusted high, that dark part of the windshield is still evident.
Never had any headlights like these, the ones they took out weren't like that. ??????

Evening Carl.... have one. branches are too high. I either need a lift or learn to climb trees  I've already gotten all the low branches taken care of

Those headlights sound really crappy. Hope you can get them fixed

You can rent those lifts for 1/2 day; still kinda pricey IIRC. Might compare to what an actual tree service would charge. If you go the lift route I'd enlist some help. Mitch helped me the two times I've rented one.

X2 on the new headlights Carl @boatswain ... Maybe it's a flawed/defective pair; don't recall reading any problems with them before. Hope they make it right. Enjoy the drive.

    :sorry: cheap shot

Don't mind making one more trip if they get them to where they should be. HOPEFULLY only one more trip!!!
We just got back from the river; didn't do too great-only 1 small stripper and 1 25" walleye.
The guy I fish with drove, and he has a "06" Tacoma X-cab TRD. His headlights are cloudy, but are still one heck of a lot better to drive with than the ones that were replaced in mine. Think I'll run down tomorrow and see what they can figure out.

Fishin' seems a little slow yet this year IIRC from years past?

Hope they can make them right.
