I have an Extang Solid Fold, and the rubber gasket that goes over the tailgate has started to separate from the cover. Looking for something to reattach the rubber to painted aluminum, that will last in Colorado (hot summers, cold winters). Also, any recommendations to remove the old, gummy adhesive?

Lol thats funny right there. Sorry as I don't know what specifically would work on that application, but it made me think maybe a truck cap dealer/installer might be able to help you out with a proper adhesive for that application. :notsure:

I have had really good results with Shoe Goo on a variety of projects, it might be worth a shot. Definitely agree with DoorDing and make sure the surface is clean. Good luck.
