Just put my deposit down and waiting on my new truck to be delivered should be here first week of Nov. I am new to the Taco game and interested in learning as much as I can. Goals are to get this thing up at least 3" suspension 1" body and on some nice shoes. Any help and ideas on keeping it clean and nice yet affordable are much appreciated. Thanks for welcoming me!

Thanks, I can see there is an overwhelming amount of information on here. I am doing my best to sort through it all and retain as much as possible.

Take your time; lots to learn. Lots. Just bought my 14 DCSBOR last year; same color as the '90 I had back in college-- MGM! Have not pulled the trigger yet on suspension. Also, review tire sizes load ratings and weight. There is a tire size comparison calculator on TW.

Yea after dropping this type of money on just the truck itself it might be some time before I can get the suspension done etc... so I am still learning exactly how to go about it all. So far it seems as though you purchase front and rear systems or a package and I have a few options. I wont be doing a ton of off roading but when i do i want this thing to be able to handle it. But, this will be my daily driver so i need to make sure it can still do good on the road. We shall see where i end up with it. Thanks again though.

So just the 3" susp. from like ProComp or Toytec something like that would be sufficient?

How high you go is up to you and dependent on the size tires you want to run.

Simply put, body lifts aren't the safest.

I love the way a good set of 35's look on this truck is there a great or should i say preferred method to how to achieve that setup for an affordable amount? I see some options out there and others are just out of this world expensive like the Fox Ultimate I looked at I believe (forgive me for any incorrect names of things) and some others. Pro Comp seems relatively inexpensive so does SOME Toytec things but I dont want this project to be shottie or anything. I need a Taco guru to walk me through this. haha.

Do lots of reading. So much to learn-- Spring rates/length, progressive/digressive shocks/valving, wheel size/backspacing, upper control arm, castor adjustment, leaf springs, larger tire/wheel combo weight. I am sure there is more. oh yeah, budget. o_O

35" tires and the suspension setup and parts needed for that setup is beyond knowledge. Best thing to do is talk to a shop about what you plan on doing with your truck.

Most guys on here are going to suggest the OME lift for something that is affordable. With cutting and trimming you can fit 35's with this set up

Im not trying to do any cutting or trimming or very little as possible what would my next best option be?

The guy at RC said I need a 6" to get 35's on there comfortably? is that true? he also said they dont have anything technically fitted for the 16' yet. so...
