    "The San Francisco 49ers endured a disastrous offseason with the loss of multiple starters to free agency and retirement. But as a result of all those departures, the 49ers will have a significant amount of financial flexibility in 2016.
    The retirements of Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, Chris Borland, and Anthony Davis alone have freed up $25 million of cap space next year and $40 million in 2017, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. In total, SB Nation reports the 49ers are on track to have $38 million to spend next year, and $61 million in 2017.

    This is particularly important because 2016's free agency class is expected to be one of the strongest in years."

    As a guy that played safety, I wish I could make people differentiate between free and strong, for starters. Plus, are they on a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense? Zone based or man based?

    ALL have huge impacts on so many facets of how the position is played.

    You can't really 'compare' Ed Reed to Hairamalu, for instance. They're totally different kinds of players that played very differently in hugely disparate schemes.

    LeRoy Butler should be in Canton for his time with the Packers but the injury retirement early is a bitch.

    Hahaha most people don't even know where Saskatchewan is let alone what the CFL teams are called. I've never really cared to watch the riders play haha, even when they were good the CFL just isn't as exciting as the NFL...

    Quite a while back I remember a comic doing a bit on the Rough Riders. He made fun of the fact that there were TWO teams in the CFL named the Rough Riders. It was a good bit. Funny as hell. But did he make that up, that there were once two teams named the Rough Riders?

    Well Ottawa was originally the rough riders and then their team was shut down until last year when they came back as the red blacks (lumberjacks I think :confused:) but the rough riders name had been taken by Saskatchewan when we formed a team.

    So technically Ottawa had the name first but then Sask took it since Ottawa no longer had a team and when they made a new team last year they couldn't really just take the name from Saskatchewan haha.
