Installed the right side xenon depot LED headlight bulb. The pictures are on low beam. The left side headlight has a Sylvania Ultra Star. Once it gets dark, I will take some street pics.

Any reason you went with xenon depot vs the VLEDS LMZ? I know CREE tends to be a decent LED but those Philips LMZ bulbs seem like they are even better

True but its like comparing A Honda to a Lexus lol. Seems to be a lot more quality in the LMZ bulbs

Xenon Depot uses Phillips LEDs and I went with them because there are no fans or space issues. Had nothing but premature failures, noise, sensitive to water (e.g. cannot wash your engine) and fitment issues with LED bulbs on one my other cars.

I made no adjustments after I installed the LED bulb

I agree Anthony, not all LED's are the same and I got spoiled after extensive testing on my Harley's. Big fan of LED's as it gives much more visability on the bike(not for me but for the idiots who cant see me). Put LED taillights on the Wife's Jeep since she got rear ended in the last one by a 70 YO man in a Prius!
But Xenon Depot's are OK and VLED's H11/H9's are backordered so some will jump on the available bandwagon(and cheaper).

Thanks Manny, my second choice if the VLED's dont fit in the low beam slot. It will be a tight fit so it's nice to know!

I removed the two 10mm bolts on the windshield washer tank in order to get a bit more room during the install (e.g. fat hands).

Will be interesting to see tonight how far the LEDs reach out compared to the halogen bubs. I will probably go with a less powerful LED in the fogs. I just do not want to be blinding oncoming cars if I use my fogs

Which ones did you have on your Gen2? I know some of the fans are supposed to be waterproof. And with no power running to them there should definitely be no issue washing. Just curious how well the flexible heat sink will work on those LEDs. I forgot Xenon depot came out with an LMZ bulb. Only difference is two chips vs 4 chips on the VLEDs ones. Hows the light throw? I heard from some that LEDs dont project far enough

will know more tonight on the light distance. There is no adjustment on these bulbs (just twist them in).

I tried 3 different brands of LED bulbs with fans on my other car. I did not use a VLED product.

V-LEDs LMZ headlight bulbs produce significant scatter as tested by another TW member on here. Your low beam cutoff looks excellent, and even somewhat better than the halogen bulb.

Comparing apples to oranges. The other member put them in a Gen2 with a regular reflector headlight, we are talking Gen3 which has projector lenses

in looking at the Phillips bulb, they have built a proper guard into the bulb to provide that cutoff. Well done.

You are talking about the H4 for the 2nd gen. I did notice they built in the guard for that. My HID kit also had a guard built in

How do these bulbs work? Since they are LED's are they plug and play?
