Picked mine up today. I did not order this, but have been eyeballing it's arrival in the system. Got lucky this morning; it had been there about 20 minutes.

with the predator tube steps and all that included in that price? DAMN! Is yours SB or LB? I paid in VA $36,081 OTD for a SB.

Nice work! I love those predator steps. I just couldnt justify the extra $630 they wanted for them. And out here my way near Washington DC in VA they are selling them for near or at MSRP so the price i got i was quite happy with. Congrats!

    Thanks.
Oddly enough, that was the only thing I could have gone without.
Not sure how I feel about them. The steps seem to hang down awfully far.

    edit; yeah, they're gone

Can you guys check out this offer I just got from an area Toyota dealership? I spoke with the internet manager today to confirm all is legit, but a 2016 TRD OR 4x4 4dr for 32,782????? Only other fee are regular tax/tag and $699 dealer fee.... Seems ot good ot be true, but it is a legitimate dealer down here so I don't know what to think.

yeah, looks like invoice on that one $33,362 including the $935 destination fee so that's a pretty good deal if destination charge is included.

thanks guys... All other dealers can order it for me for about 37 grand and it will be here in 3 or so weeks, so I don't really see how they can sell it to me for over 4g less and have it in stock, but its worth the 2 hr drive to find out I guess. thanks again

It looks like it has the tonneau cover as well, so they are actually selling it below invoice if this is all correct. If they honor that price you should jump on it, because I doubt it will last long

Is there a reason why you cant get a JBL package with a DC manual transmission?

just the way Toyota is and how the master plan is made.

anyway, its probably due to last gen sales numbers, they just didn't see that many requests in that exact format. lean production means less waste and less trucks not being sold. if your not wasting configs that don't sell, you can make more of the models that do sell.

That makes sense but why not let someone custom order one in that config? (rhetorical) I understand not making them up front and stocking them at a dealership but if I'm willing to wait months for them to build it, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to get it exactly how I want it.

    Stock and loving it
Building a one off truck would cost them money and time on the assembly line.

Speaking of money, I had a dealer today try and tell me there was only $1600 in markup between invoice and msrp on even the most expensive Tacoma. I told him it was closer to $3000. He tried to say I was talking about holdback blah blah blah. In the end I told him he could sell the car at invoice and still make over $1000 between dealer fees and holdback then walked out. Guess they didn't like someone doing research before coming in
