It would be a 3 week trip I'm sure.

Have to look at it more. Maybe just do another bout in Canada.

 

I'd be down and if we can be for reals I'll get my time off in stone NOW so I WILL come but I'd wager there's lots to discuss yet, wish we could all gather around a campfire for a few nights to BS errr plan

Assuming I get put on the list for an invite, no. I am 99% sure I will be taking the same job. I can actually plan this time as my boss likes me and I know when the season is busy and when it is not. Moab is happening this year unless something serious comes up.

 

As far as I know, you've always been invited.

 

I have been but I still want to ask to make sure. The sooner you guys figure out rough dates the better the chance I can go. I can let my boss know so he can avoid any conflict ahead of time during the hiring process.

 

Well..still don't know where we are going. Rubicon area is also an option..

 

Is it likely to be the beginning of august again? The dates are really what I need, location is less important.

 

Not sure at this time yet. I don't have school next fall so either late august or septemeber is possible.


Which brings up possibly doing Utah/Moab again..

So i am on the road and don't have access to this but can anyone pull measurements of the gopro 4 backpack extended battery housing case?

 

I think im the only guy on the wyo crew with a gopro. i don't have that though. May have it on their site though.

 

I can not find anything anywhere on the entire interwebs. Trying to order aluminum to mill a heat sink back cover....

 

heat sink? they don't get that hot..the battery pack is the same size though other than depth.

 

I tried doing time lapse over this summer several times in the sun and it overheated and shut down every time.

 

June/July is probably a bad time for me to take off due to tadpoles. Late May, Early august, and late august would be the optimal times but with enough notice I can probably make at least a few days work.
