I do like the color-keyed fenders on the Gen2. However on the '16 I do prefer the black over fenders of the TRD OR.

Yes. Makes the truck not pretty.
Too bad they didn't give the OR its own grill.

I blame the Ford raptor. I have only seen ine with color matched flares and I'm sure it was a custom job.

    This!

IMO,The black makes the truck stand out especially with other black accessories. Looks bad ass to me but to each their own. After seeing the Quicksand all done up, now I might have to call my dealer to change the color.

Anyone else found anything on this? I believe even the SR/SR5 over fenders would work to color match those on an TRD OR.

    Thanks

If I could go back 2 weeks, I would've purchased Quicksand over Super White. I dig our Super White SR5, but Quicksand just gives the Tacoma so much character, especially with a lift. Black fenders preferred for OR. Don't have to worry so much about natural pin stripping.

No kidding! I have never considered the quicksand, not once. But that truck is bad ass. I really like that color with the black wheels and black fender flares.

My salesman confirmed yesterday that they have another allocation coming in quicksand and it's mine. Only downside is I'll have to wait another 2 weeks but it's worth it as I really like this color. Actually the biggest downside will be the hit to my bank account with all the accessories I want now!

My plan is to wait for color matching pocketed fender flare to solve this problem!

I agree on the quicksand with the black over fenders. My OR is black and think with the features of the OR and the looks of the limited/SR5 more or less that would make for one badass truck.

Any know where to buy the black fender from?

Also, are they just help by the screws from the bottom?

I'm wondering the same thing toyotacoma08. It seems it may take some time for aftermarket companies and even OEM parts to becoem available to buy on the '16s.
