Aloha! Fan less LED is a 90% solution. No hassle with wiring, no glare, but the lighting pattern/distance is slightly less than HID or halogen.

The VLEDs 4 LED solution may be a better/brighter option than that the 2 LED solution from Xenon Depot, we still do not know about the size of the complete LED, it does have fans and the cost is significantly more that the Xenon Depot.

For me, I am going to try the Xenon Depot LED solution for a month and see how it goes. If all goes well, I will try an LED solution for the fogs next.

LED looks brighter but it looks like the stock lights shine further. Is that a fair assesment?

These are upgraded halogen bulbs, so i anticipate that the lighting distance on the LED is about the same as a stock bulb.

Is $30 significant? If I'm not mistaken that's the cost difference. 119 for xenon depot 150 for the VLEDS that has twice the amount of LEDs. However VLEDS has one with the same amount for 130. I would say they are comparable in cost

The real test for me on the LEDs will be during the first fog or rain event at night.

The LEDs were $106 with free 2nd day shipping. There was a discount coupon code on their site when I ordered the bulbs. I have ordered multiple HID kits over the past 5 years fron Xenon Depot and have never experienced a problem with their products or service.

I might, but I from research you need the H11B bulb for projectors. I ordered LEDS first tho

    Hey Sam B,

I have a set of Amber 7443's from VLEDS and the resistor is built into the base of the bulb, they are very bright but I was thinking of going to the VLEDS Tritons which are a step up from these if there is room for them in the rear turn signal cavity.

Good info because I just almost bought h11a since that's what the manual specified. Do you have a source for the information?

If the VLEDS don't fit into the Low Beam I am going to seriously look at the VLEDS HID's...

I may do the same. Halogen just doesnt do it for me. Ill throw the LEDs in the high beams probably if thats the case. Better for passing lights

Yeah, I am a huge fan of VLEDS but it sounds like there may be a problem with space for the housing etc, let's hope not...

Will be good to see if the VLED product can be squeezed into the limited space behind the low beam side of the headlight capsule. It is tight back there. There is plenty of room behind the foglights.

Unfortunately the ambers wont work in the rear. Need either clear or red. I didnt look to see what the front turn signal bulbs are. VLED does not offer a 7443 clear. I have the red's and hopefully will get time to install them this weekend. Looks like the VLED LMZ's will be on backorder until 10/31 due to the H11 adapter and bulb itself. I have some JDM AST clear 7443's but 1 out of the 4 was DOA. Have not had the chance to send it back.

My understanding of the H11 vs the H11b is just the electrical connection. Should not be any difference in the bulb itself. Now the big issue is that the low beams call for an H9 which should be higher lumens than a H11 so be very careful when using H11's (they are somewhat interchangeable).

So, H9's are whiter and brighter and that may be an issue when using H11 replacements(LED's and even HID's). Now VLED LMZ's say suitable replacement for both. If we run into any issues I may opt for the PIAA H-9's. But it's a PIA when they dont last long and you have to drop another $50 for a replacement! LED's give you longivity, HID's in most applications give you more light(reflector housings) but prove to be a burden on the electrical system and Halogen's are ok, short lived but cheap(most of the time).

Those going HID good luck! Those going LED good luck!

Manny, after looking at your pics I think the LED's give a better look but the Halogen's work better in the projector. The VLED's have more LED's so we will see.....

Always had issues after 6 months or so with the ballasts not firing on one or the other. I always research and try to find the best available for a decent price. if you buy cheap you get cheap. So after dealing with the ballasts and trying to ensure that lights will not come on until you turn them on, it became such a pain in the ass for upkeep that I finally trashed them. They are not good if you do a lot of short runs and constantly turning them on and off. So I guess it really depends on application. If you use them once a night then OK...
