ADD W1 VER1 Oil Catch Can Group Buy "FEELER FAIL"-Please delete!!

Stoked to see that you're working to please me and perhaps raise your "rating" in my mind.

The oil catch can is what I would consider a "functional" add on. The AN fittings are also functional in the sense that they work, however they'll work no better than the hose clamps and 9 or 15 mm fittings.

I honestly think that this group buy is a good idea, but with the wrong seller. His price for a product that "looks" to be no better than a large number of the eBay cans, is going to be pretty easily beat.

Well another vendor quoted 10% off, so about the same price, and I haven't heard back from the eBay guy. I emailed the original guy back and told him the consensus was these were available on eBay and Amazon at times for under $70 shipped. We'll see what happens.

 

Received the email from the original guy. Said the offer is the best he could do. Everything else is $89.99 and up. I still haven't gotten a response from the eBay guy. So looks like the listed price earlier is the best I can get on these.......

If you are not picky about which color or version (1 or 2) (2 has a breather option but can be kept closed if chose to do so) these can be had for $59 on newegg.com all the time.....

I'm guess something has to do with the check Ingine light. It will go on coz of not properly sealed. But again I might be wrong.

 

Hey we can always go with these Mishimoto drip cans. Talk about high speed...low drag...bad to the bone!! Oops...just not $325 bad!! Wow...All of the sudden $80 seems cheap...lol! Seriously I'm going to try and find a good economicly priced can and go from there. That's if it's ok with the OP...not trying to step on any toes. I'm really hoping your (OP) eBay guy calls you back!!

Or to one such as the Might Mouse pvc setup I use on my or a Mike Norris, Elite, and RX. Obviously price is the common difference.

System needs to be a closed loop. Introduction of the breather will be seen as a vac leak.

 

My only question is you can keep the breather off and closed with the supplied screw, how is that any diff the version 1 that has the dip stick on top?

I also re-threaded and placed this valve on the bottom with 1/8 clear tube so that I could drain it. Routed the tube down the frame to drip into a can placed on the ground.

Closed system should work, but why not buy the closed one from the get go? Don't tell me it's the money. You own an expensive truck.

 

Not about the money. More about understanding why they sell 2 versions.
Version one with a hole on top for a dipstick (priced much higher)
Version two with a hole for a breather (priced lower)

Both holes can be covered with the screws.

Just trying to understand.

Shit I am not even looking to buy one just personal research haha
