October 2015 Citrus/Croom Camp & Ride Weekend...

Sorry. Just got up. Checked TW before I looked at the phone.

 

Well, the OGT has brakes again. Not 100% confident the issue is cured since I didn't find any obvious point of failure and they worked fine the day after the failure, but time will tell, I guess. Might take the old MC apart at some point and inspect the seals for damage or wear, but I didn't have time tonight. Also my hopes for a clean smooth install went right out the window. With bleeder hoses popping off and containers getting knocked over, I don't think I could have made a bigger mess if I had been trying. It just wasn't my day for things to go smoothly.

Have to give a big shout out to Frank for stopping by and being my pedal-pusher to get the system bled. Thanks muchly, buddy.

Um...no...we were losing the light by the time we got started bleeding the brakes so I didn't get a chance to see much of Squeaky 'cept when he rolled in. But then everytime I see Squeaky it seems like she has a new body mod somewhere.

 

What's up everybody?! I'm pretty new to the TW thing and my truck is pretty much stock but I plan to change all that.

Moved to Tampa a couple months ago and barely missed the tamlando meet.

Want to help people and get some help with some MODs but I dk anyone in the area. This Seminole meet should help me meet some taco people, so as of right now you can put me on the list to come probabably Saturday morning.

 

Don't worry or think too much about your taco being stock, my husbands (@TAZ2014Taco) taco is stock and so is my 2WD 4Runner (getting mods done in a couple months) but we ran with the boys Sunday and did good. We'll also be out Saturday and Sunday, so you won't be the only stock truck.

A wise guy once told me, 'you just gotta have some momentum and it'll do what you want it to' (@Scooter WCT) lol

 

It's a good thing to get into. We normally stay at home and went out on a limb to meet some guys this past weekend and it was just a good time. Everyone was working together and supportive of each other, you get to see some badass builds and learn a lot about your truck and how to handle it. Note: Tacoma World and its meets are highly addictive, please use under caution

 

I'm stock also

 

I'm sittin on city slicker tires since my 4Runner is the SR5 and not TRD, whereas Taz is on stock All Terrains but my highway tires proved they can do work when put to the test and she was definitely tested more than once this passed weekend !!

 

I think he was kidding babe he's on 35s, but we did do some work. Once we get tires and lifts on and winches on both we should be able to take the hills where you just see the sky

 

Whatevs, I'm at work and not checking everyone's pictures to see if they're actually stock or not :|

 

Just Saturday or are you planning on camping out with us?

Just so I'm clear before I add ya to the list, are you guys going to camp out with us on Saturday night?

 

BTW, @Black Horse texted me yesterday. He pulled out due to injuring his back at work yesterday so we won't have our dedicated camera man. Hope you feel better soon, Rick.

No we aren't able to camp, we gotta go home after we ride and take care of the farm, so Sunday AM we'll meet y'all at croom.

Don't worry about being stock too much. TRD ORs do damn fine in stock condition. You're really only limited by your approach and departure angles. I've wheeled with several stock TRD ORs (including @Rattletrap66 ) and they didn't have too much trouble keeping up.

Also, this meet is in Citrus Co between Inverness and Brooksville, about an hour and a half north of Tampa. Not sure where Seminole came from.

 

Looking at the weather, other than it looks like it's going to be unpleasantly hot Friday and Saturday afternoon, we should have some fine weather this weekend. The lows are supposed to be in the low 60s (Saturday morning is supposed to get down to 59*! ) so hopefully it'll cool down fast in the evening.
