TSF was fun. Would do again.

 

I'm canceling everything for next years run.

 

How late into the year is TSF clear of snow typically?

How does the saying go? "If you want something done you might as well do it yourself", right? I'm sure that left a sour taste in your mouth.

Wasn't too bad actually. I took it to the shop at the farm and had the broken one out, the new one pressed in, and everything back together in an hour. And I'm no mechanic.

 

Its been some time since I was doing regular TSF runs, but I can remember black Friday runs could go either way

@munkel - just had Nick from crawl2run check out my rear bumper to get it modded. Quotes:
Change the gate to use a better latching mechanism (some sort of screw thing? Going to make sure we agree on the format)
Cut bumper to allow the hitch to go in without an extension, add better safety chain holder, and possibly fix up license plate lights by plating the holes and doing an LED strip instead
Add a McMaster pull pin to the gate that will serve as a stopper so my gate can stay open without me holding it in place

If the quote is good and I like the design, I've got the 24th wrapped up with them

 

I assume you mean Walla Walla. If that is the case there are quite a few mild trails, forest roads really, but still fun. Head up Mill Creek rd. and go explore. There are lots of fun two tracks off of the main NF65 rd. If you follow that main road (also called Skyline rd, Touchet rd on the far end) it comes out at Dayton. It's a neat little drive on well maintained roads, and a nice afternoon loop. You could make a full day out of it with all the side roads easy.

How about early/mid-November? I should have my sliders on by then. Hopefully in a couple weeks actually. A friend found a guy and we've been doing some bartering.

Black Friday is an interesting concept. I will never go BF shopping again. I haven't heard of any family Thanksgiving plans yet, so if a run is scheduled for then, it may just take priority.

 

Knowing my luck we'll schedule it the weekend before I have a calculus test.. That and I work Friday's until 11pm.. I'm saving up for f/r lockers and regear so I'd really like to not take work off. If something is scheduled I'll see what I can do to make it.

 

Ugh Black Friday and thanksgiving time are hunting in Montana time
