You are in the Canadian price thread, in case you didn't know. Yes, a king Ranch or Platinum stickers for $65-$70 K. It retails though in the mid to high 50's after discounts though. The 2016 Tacoma, in Canada, has been quoted to a few people at $55K after taxes. It's ridiculous.

    Again,

My point is that the Limited Tacoma in Canada is getting into the ballpark of some of the higher end Ford, Ram, and GM full sized truck models. That's just crazy.

Let me think about this, a King Ranch or a Limited, both in the same price bracket...

Check Ford.ca instead of just mocking me. 61K starting price on the King Ranch, 63 K starting price on a Platinum. Why people don't ever look online before they start mocking people is beyond me. I'm just pulling the online values and doing a WTF. Even if you just want to compare the Lariat trims they blow the Limited Tacoma out of the water for the options you get. It's well within the realm of possibility, with the 10-13K in discounts on the highest end Ford trims, that you could get an F150 in either of the King Ranch or Limited trims or a loaded Lariat including taxes for CLOSE to the same price as what people are being quoted on a Tacoma. IMHO, that's crazy high pricing on the Limited when you look at how much the other trims moved.

If you don't share my opinion feel free to keep browsing on by.

Sterdog, I am not mocking you, I believe you.

Just seeing the humour in the fact that you can get a King Ranch for the same money that a Tacoma is going for, what is Toyota thinking!

Comparing the two years on a TRD Sports Premium package the difference year over year is $4K. The 2016's are nice trucks but the difference is to great a jump for this kid. I will take another peak at the 2015 TRD Sport. I can buy a lot of gas for $4,000. The local dealer is only talking MSRP. He is expecting higher demand than I think there is locally. I may even wait to see how Toyota reacts to the market sales of this truck. Maybe they see something I don't. I am going to price out a Ford F 150 with a 6 in it.

    2016 - $52,118
    2015 - $48,424

I'm with you Bob.....too expensive and I need a work truck...just can't justify that price tag... not when you see the price of an f150 that has twin turbos

Sorry! It just seemed like there are still some doubters out there as to how expensive this Tacoma is in the market, especially the higher end trim.

Not sure where the lower end trims are if you are talking DC.

Limited to me is higher end. Anything else is just another trim package. I generalize sometimes on here to avoid getting too specific on things, because honestly the options packages on trucks rarely align perfectly across lines.

$48,437.00 for the Limited OTD, based on the MSRP.

Maybe I'm missing something, but looks like leather is no longer available as an option in the TRD Sport?

Do you pay GST/PST where you live? Brings the total to $51,665.60 in BC OTD with no extras.

    I just priced out a F 150 4x4 with their 6 Eco boost engine at $43,799

I will talk to the dealer but for $10K difference and being retired I just don.t see the Toyota advantage. I will only put $10K a year on the truck and require the 4x4 only for the snow in the winter and the occasional mud run when I go river fishing. I stlll may go for the 2015 but the 2016 for me does not come with $52,000 worth of value. The 2015's struggle at $48,000.

Ok so playing around on the website I'm still going with the Sport Upgrade package but when I compare the specs to the Sport package it seems like they don't have the sport tuned suspension in the upgrade package!

    What's in there instead?
