Haha, sounds like mine! After learning our truck was written off we went to look at a 2016 our local dealer had a few weeks ago as a demo that made its way around the lower mainland. As soon as she sat in it she said it was perfect for our family and we should buy one!

Had to tell her to shut-up so I could try and get something out of the dealer!!

Yeah, I noticed the running boards on the Limited on the Web Site.

Was going to go with aftermarket Running Boards, Tubes, or Sliders, preferably stainless, I just don't like Chrome.

I have a hold on a White Limited and if I go with it I am hoping I can at least get them to swap the chrome tubes for black...

Did the tow rating go down? I can't see the 2015 specs. But they are saying 6000lbs for the 2016 Limited.

My wife does not like sitting with me in the Dealership, she says I turn into an asshole...

Had an 09 DCLB Sport for 2.5 years. Car seats wouldn't fit nicely so we traded for a 2012 4runner Limited. 4runner has a 5000# tow rating and we were looking at possibly getting a larger travel trailer. Most trailers we are interested in are getting really close or slightly over the 5K. Pretty sure the 2015 rating was 6500#. $44K that's getting crazy.

I already bought one, dealer says it should be here by the 19th or 20th. To me the Sport upgrade didn't go up that much in price. You do get a sunroof now which is a big deal to me.

You don't want to tow 5K lbs with a Tacoma. Trust me. It's doable, but it sucks the gas back at about 9 mpg with that much weight. I've been there, done that, ended up buying something else for towing.

Either way, the automatic DCLB is now down around 6300 lbs for towing IIRC. The manual SCLB is up to 6800 lbs. Really, it's all minor changes based on whether the equipment made the truck lighter or heavier than the last Tacoma.

You Sir, are in the running for the $20.00 Tim Horton's Card.

Don't forget to post pics, we should start a new thread for pics of new Canadian Tacomas since there are subtle differences between ours and the Tacomas our US brothers have.

Ya pretty much seals the deal. Was excited leading up to the release when they kept advertising 6800lbs. A nicely equipped F150 XLT can be had for the same price, before haggling.

Canada gets the big shaft! Even less configurations than before, still can't get a TRD off road double cab, and looks like only an auto in the TRD OR Access cab? Thanks Toyota!

    4x4 Double Cab V6 6,400 lbs (2,902 kg)
    4x4 Double Cab V6 Limited 6,000 lbs (2,721 kg)

From the Canadian site. Id say the tow ratings didn't get any better.

Please help me with a reality check: What does the Limited come with that the Sport with premium tech upgrade package doesn't, $40585

    vs: Limited $44275
    JBL sound system
    Leather seats
    plastic chrome trim
(tonneau cover and chrome side step bars)

    Am I missing anything?

LED Running lights? Maybe? Who knows. I don't think anyone has seen the 2016 in Canada to be exactly sure. Toyota has missed describing things before.

Ive been browsing the Canadian site all morning (sick day) and it really looks like they just hacked it together with little care or attention. A lot of the pricing and configs make no sense. They really emphasize "4 cylinder!" on the performance info page. And the picture selction under gallery is really poor! Maybe its still a work in progress but it also shows how unimportant our market share is to Toyota. They probably sell more Tacomas in the state of California alone than all of Canada.
