TRD WeatherTech Mat Logos

I'm no longer interested in putting this thing together.

It's a good idea but isn't someone already doing this? I coulda swore someone offered a replacement for the Weathertech logo on these liners because I was considering one when one of mine was lost shortly after buying my liners but a simple discussion with Weathertech got another decal thingy sent free of charge pretty quickly. I think the other one may have been a metallic option but now I can't remember for sure or if they're even still available because it may have been a few years ago. Not trying to derail the thread but it may help you to investigate that before you go trying to reinvent the wheel in case it's been done.

 

No problem at all. I haven't found a Tacoma version of these running around in all of my searching, hence searching out a source to make them.

I did find some guys on a Raptor forum doing it with the SVT logo and some Dodge/Jeep guys doing SRT ones, but none for TRD/Toyota.

Well, not only were they TRD but it was someone on this forum even. I know I saw them because I remember thinking the price was too much for me and that's when I reached out to Weathertech directly for a free solution.

No offense, but how many places on ones truck do you need to advertise that it's a "TRD"? Decals, shifters, emblems, brake light mod, floor mats....

I never understand the logo explosion on a truck. But to each their own.

One way to look at is this looks much better than the weathertech logo advertisement currently on there.

Only one design can be order? or can we get the one we like best?

 

It's less about getting the TRD logo on there than putting something other than the ugly-as-sin WeatherTech banner ad on there. It looks goofy with nothing there because there's a spot molded into the floor mat for logos. If it were up to me, I'd do something cool and one-off, but that has limited appeal and I don't really want to buy 10 just so I can have two if that makes sense.

We'd need a minimum order of 10 for each design. That's 10 individual decals, so we basically need 5 people to "want" a design.

I'm going to give the "interest" thread a day or so to run, then we'll narrow down the design(s) and get them ordered.

I will note that the $15/decal is exactly the cost I'm being charged, I want these to get made and I'm definitely not trying to make money on the deal.
