Is there room for one more to join in this upcoming years big trip?

I'm planning on buying a tent that can withstand hurricane force winds if that helps the situation out at all.

 

Are you still in school next fall? I would think that may play a role. One of the things on the table for the next one is not being restricted by when the fall semester starts like we have been in past years. Also, it would be nice to get away from the fire season.

 

Yeah, I'll still be in school. My school doesn't start until Sept 20th though, so I'm rather late.

 

The only time I felt rushed was when you and timmy where desperate to find tires. Otherwise I thought it was pretty chill. Oh and. Guess when I had to get home. I cut that close..

Yea prudoe bay might be out of the question..would just be a road trip for that.

Up to the keni river though where my family cabin to do a day of salmon fishing might be worth it though.

Sure. Things will be a bit different in terms of planning this year.

However, if we go to rubi. I think you'll want to reconsider. Not a friendly trail..

Can we have some moderation here please. Yes, breaking camp at 10:30 everyday contributed to the feeling of being rushed.

Breaking camp at 6:30 am is not the answer tho.

His normal MO is to get us started late then bitch about wanting to wheel until midnight to make up for that late start.

So, I'm debating driving home for Christmas instead of flying. At what point of winter/snow would you say don't bother coming through WY with a small FWD car?

 

Uhh so...wait. Where are you coming from and to where? All depends on route. Sadly the weather is pretty unpredictable so sometimes it's totally fine. Others..not so much.

 

IMO, 60-90 minutes after the full sun hits the tent is about right. This is usually between 8-9. This could be affected by how many beers I had the evening before.
