So some of you guys may call me an idiot but I figured I'd share my experience anyways.

Some of you know but most of you don't. On August 25th I sold the WRX and purchased a Taurus SHO. The reason for the purchase was the "great deal" I was told I was getting on the car. I bought it from my friend who owns a dealership and I have purchased several vehicles from him before where they had always given me a good deal. Well it seems now that I have moved away and my parents moved as well he had no reason to continue being a friend. I ended up getting royally screwed on the car. On the 27th of August was when I first started having issues with the car. My twin turbo V6 was moving slower than the 4 cyl Hyundai Accent I am currently driving (rental). So I took it back to my buddies dealership and they looked it over. Said it was a waste gate issue and that a part would need to be ordered. I, living 200 miles away, couldn't really wait for a part to come in so I took it back home and made an appointment with a local dealership. I couldn't get an appointment until 18 days later on the 14th of September. Well the car has been there ever since..

This dealership said it was an exhaust manifold issue. Said they would order the parts, to bring the car in the next day and they would have a rental for me. They made an appointment and asked I show up before 9:30 because the rental guy would be there. This is pretty much where it all started to go down hill. Show up at about 9:15 and they tell me to wait in the lobby, the guy will be here with my rental shortly. Sit in the lobby for an hour and a half before I ask where the fuck the dude is. "Oh, looks like the appointment never went through, let me call them now and get someone down here." Calmly go back to the lobby and wait another hour or so for him to show up.

A week later I call and ask for an update. "Part isn't here yet." Another week, "Ford isn't going to send the part out until the 24th of October." I tell them there is no way in hell that is acceptable and to find the part somewhere else. They find it at another dealership and order it from them. The said they would receive the part Tuesday Oct 6th and the car would be done no later than Thursday afternoon. No call Thursday so I call Friday. "The part just came in, we will work on it and it will be done Tuesday." Call yesterday and they said "The car isn't done but I will tell Shaun to call you before 12:00 and give you an update." Never received a call so I give them a call. "Yeah, it isn't going smoothly, maybe it'll be done next week."

So at this point I've called Ford corporate and they are supposedly going to get involved and figure out what's going on..

Edit: Friend at the dealership texted me today so I told him what was going on. He just said sorry and ended the conversation. Asked politely if they would consider purchasing the car back and he said. "Not right now but maybe if you wait till the spring time, yeah."

 

Damn that sucks. So I thought you bought a tacoma???

 

I'm working on a lease deal because I got so fucked getting this car. I was under the impression the car would be out of the shop and I'd be able to trade it in. I can't do anything until the car is out of the shop..

 

You don't have to justify your purchase to me, but why the fuck did you by a car to sell for taco when you could have (should have) just bought the taco?

I didn't buy it to sell it for a tacoma. I planned to keep the car until I realized how big of a piece of shit it is. and the only reason I am selling it is to get out of a bad deal that I made. I'm upside down on the car (long story) and need to get out of it.
