Yea I bought it used as a CPO. It a 2010 with 58k on it. I just checked my warranty and it does have that $50 deductible writen in there, but the two service reps I talked to acted like they never heard of it before and said the manager told them to charge me when they billed the radio. I've only owned it for three weeks and the problem started the week I purchased it. Last few weeks have been just me fighting with them to get the radio fixed. I have to take videos with my phone of it malfunctioning before they would finally order it.

If the radio did that on the test drive they would've fixed it for nothing? I shot Toyota an email anyways just to see what they say.

My 2010 stock radio had the same problem, the original owner had it in for warranty multiple times. He said that the radio powers itself off randomly and Toyota replaced everything multiple times. I put in an aftermarket head unit, it loses power every so often but not during use, i only know because i have to re enter time and date. Its a pita

I wish I had the extra cash to do aftermarket. I figured the stock replacement would get me by till I could buy one. If I knew this was going to cost me $50 I would've put that towards an aftermarket instead.

Front little flaps have to come off and slight rub on inside part of mud flaps. Haven't tried it offroad yet just installed this morning. Gonna try heat gun on that part of flap and reform it before removing.

    Yes.
So far I've avoided driving my Tacoma into the Hidden Pines Fire in Bastrop County, TX. I suspect that's about to change. I'm going to get activated to help with emergency radio communications for the volunteer relief efforts.

    Yes.
Thanks! Pam and I are far enough west of the fire line to not be in much danger currently. Of course a shift of the wind is all it takes for that to change, but at the moment we're good.

I'm going to be taking time off the next two days to help the relief volunteers with communication I suspect. Possibly ferrying people and things out of the affected area, we'll see.

    For the curious: http://kxan.com/2015/10/14/hidden-pines-fire-continues-to-burn-in-bastrop-county/
