3rd gen Tacoma - Hawaii

all our county/dlnr trucks were that tan color at some point in time.

i do like that color though, just wouldnt paint my truck that unless it was $50 worth of spray paint.

 

Oh yeah forgot about all the State trucks too....

 

Not a fan of this color but do like the wheels and new TRD OR package with the black flares

True, that was the case for my truck. They didn't have what I wanted in stock at the time. (DCSB, mgm, TRD OR) I was offered to order a truck with my own options, but did not want to wait. Instead, I opted to reserve a truck that servco had already ordered for inventory stock. They were just waiting on delivery, so in a couple months it came in, got prepped, and I picked it up.
And I think I got great service , even though I went through a friend. I even got a discount off of a back-ordered truck, not a mark up over MSRP.

 

Isn't that tray with the limited? Looks pretty neat but wasn't the capacity low? Like 80lbs IIRC.

 

Looks like they used the paint color that they use to paint over graffiti with.

 

Supposedly like 400lbs... may come standard on some models, but I couldn't even order with it on the trail. May pick it up later if I really want it.

 

Doesn't take away the third seat option? When you add the tray!

 

I don't even think the 3rd row is offered on the trail...

 

SMH........ salespeople don't even know then.... Unless maui orders differently that servco oahu.....

 

I know you "can" get it... my sales person just said couldn't... But in the catalogue shows it, and shows it as an available add-on.

 

As much as I'm stoked on the 2016, especially the one Toytec has modified already, I feel like we've been partially cheated on not getting 100% remodel. Yes, they changed the motor, tranny, front end and tail gate/lights but they kept 2nd gen frame, cab, and suspension. 1st and 2nd gen Tacos are 100% completely different. I'd rather have a diesel HiLux or Prado. Too bad we can't buy those here.

 

Longtime lurker, first time poster. Anyone know if Servco is actually working out final pricing (or even doing orders) yet or they still saying that they don't have any numbers? I know they're doing the $500 deposits, but anything more than that?

 

They should have... I just saw on the TW FB page that a taco is here and driving around already...

Freedom... I would have bought a DCLB 4x4 in a second...... but the opportunity came (with wide approval) to get a T4R.

 

They probably should have named it Gen 2.5 because it's not a completely new generation mid-size truck.

 

Just got world the birds has landed...spotted a trd sport 2016 in the sand color at servco processing center

 

And they're still saying they don't have pricing information available as of two days ago.... Anyone have any luck with getting a quote?

 

the closest i got to getting pricing is putting the $500 deposit down. one of the salesman is a family friend and he stating they didnt get training on the 16 tacomas yet but once they do they will come out with pricing shortly after. he said sometime mid october.
