That ornamental "flap" on the Caravan is too short to be of any use. Draw an imaginary line from the tire contact patch to the bottom of the flap. Where the line intersects the rocker panel is where the rust begins.

It's a truck....it's supposed to have mudflaps!!

Nah....just my opinion. But they will stay on my ride. Just looks more complete with them.

On my 3" lifted Toyota with 285/65r18 that imaginary line goes to the center of my drivers/passengers door, much the same on the caravan. Also my tires stick out significantly outboard from what the stock mudflap protects. essentially rendering it relatively useless. Granted this is subjective to lift, tire, wheels, spacing etc. ok now draw an imaginary line from the bottom of the mudflap on the caravan and now the Toyota,. which one allows more space for debris to be kicked up. although it may be ornamental it serves the same purpose and quite frankly is more effective on the caravan..... To each his own I would say, I had more issues with the mudflaps installed than I have without.

^You are comparing stock vs modified. The stock Taco with stock length flaps provides coverage to about the center of the rear doors. Once you add a lift and larger tires, you'd need bigger flaps to maintain the same coverage, e.g.:

I have both the stock flaps and the OEM running board. Nothing gets on the paint baby.

    A few.
I've always found mud flaps get ripped off when wheeling. Another benefit of removing the mud flaps and aggressive tires is that people are less likely to tailgate me!
