looking to get a lift nothing ridiculous like a 2 inch lift and im looking for the easy way out aka as spacers. my question would be when lifted like 2-3 inches, what is the downside to it? i have heard the ride kinda sucks and when making turns you have to be more careful. Does the ride really suck with a 2 or 3 inch lift and if i were to get a lift should i go 2 or 3

If you're dead set on spacers, avoid the 3" lift size. You'll run into alignment issues and be using your shock as a bump stop.

The issues with almost ANY lift you use on these trucks is the alignment. Aftermarket control arms will fix that issue. With stock control arms you're limited to how much you can adjust your caster and camber.

Tons of people run spacers with no issues. There is no performance benefit other than increasing ride height. If that's all you're after, go for it.

One can never have too many light bars.
5100's on stock springs in the front with an aal in the rear will give you about a 1.75-2'' lift for about 300 bucks before labor costs. You're better off going that route. Not only will it drive better but it will be easier on all your other parts such as ball joints.

Lots of people complain that 5100's loaded down on stock springs is a horrible ride(myself included). The balljoint wear is going to be the same either way.

I would never spend $300 to lift my $35k truck. :jerkoff:

Yes I agree with you but it's still a better route than spacers.

No, none, someone told me to make sure they were greased properly to avoid any noise.
