Well, the dealership has called, apologized, and offered to come pick up the truck, rotate the tires, then return it to me.

Do I trust a dealership with my truck after they tried to pull a fast one on me & I called them on it?
    What would you do?
I don't have the time, energy or jacks/stands to rotate them myself.

@Longboard1110 got a nice set of wheels and the truck fixed to his satisfaction. So all's well that ends well?

Your score may be lower. Do you know for sure the filter was changed? The oil?

Now in some form of fairness (very little) I seriously work like this is done by 'Toyota Certified Mechanics'. It's rudimentary work more likely done by beginners, as no real skills or snazzy tools are required. Kinda like 'new car prep'. Or 'lot boy'.

So the quality of what you get is dependent on the quality of the person doing the work. Just like most other things in life.

Some kid with his Joe Boxer's hanging out who was canned from Mickey D's last week because he couldn't fry 'em fast enough may slip a few things on you.

The next guy may be in tech school, love wrenching, and be proud to get in on the ground floor of an ASE track, and do a stellar job.

Last, don't forget supervision plays a role. Get one who cares about their teams quality vs one who is related to the owner, and is in the job because it was the only place he could get hired, and you have another setup for failures.

I have not had my new Tacoma long enough yet for this to be done, but my New Lexus GX460 took one hour and fifty minutes and they did not rotate or top off all of the fluids, as the windshield washer tanker was low. Lexus does not require oil change at 6 months. I went straight to the "General Manager" and let him know. They then did what they were supposed to do, and the first service that costs me will be "FREE".

When I went in for the same service, the guy said "oil and rotate if needed" and they werent needed apparently.

Took my new Camry to every service, but never double checked their work... After the 15k service I noticed my front tires were almost completely bald, but my rear had over 50% tread left .. Checked my receipts and they marked that they had rotated tires every time.. It was obvious they didn't...I wonder if they actually changed my oil at 10k and 20k

If your front tires were nearly bald at 15K miles you have other issues besides just the rotation...

    Just saying.

Sounds like I'm not the only one but fuck dealerships and shops. I avoid them at all costs. I'd buy a damn tire mounting machine if they weren't so expensive..but as it stands I have to go to a tire shop and I loathe every minute of it.

When I got mine back from frame replacement, I checked the torque on everything I could think of, and went over everything as good as I could expecting to find something wrong but I think they did a fine job. In the back of my mind I'm still waiting for something to pop up, but its been over 2 months and I cant find anything wrong with it. I wasn't expecting it, but it looks like they put everything back together right, and I'm happy so far.
