This truck is the perfect height for me to just step right in and out of. No need for bars.

Also, I've come up with a complaint about the interior. It beeps about a few things that are rather annoying. The main one being that once you park and turn the truck off, the normal next thing to do is open your door right? Well it beeps at you and says door ajar, and doesn't stop until the door is closed. But if you close it then reopen it it shuts up, so odd.

Yeah, I think that will ultimately be my conclusion as well. Better pic of them below for those interested.

Hmm, hadn't noticed that yet. I wonder if in some of the 5 million settings you can turn that behavior off.

you can via techstream, which I will be doing once the warden sits home long enough after showing it off. just have to update the software for the 2016 models and then hookup the cable to the odb2 port :)

I don't care for the predator/nfabs myself, but then again this is the wardens truck so they are the perfect height for her.

See if NoDak gets lucky and tells us which s/w and cable to use! Which specific ones do you want to change?

NoDak - which s/w and cable did you buy? I think I will do the same.

How do you like those tires? Are they louder or more rough on the road than stock? How do you think they will do in the snow? I'm going between those and the Duratracs, can't decide. Are those stock size?

thanks. will probably be the best $20 I spend on this truck

do you know if you can set the windows to open on a long key press of the fob? that seems to be on about 1/2 of the cars my co-workers and I have tried recently. pres the fob 2x and hold down on the second press ... 3 or 4 seconds later all the doors unlock and the windows roll down. killer feature on a hot day when you walking up to your vehicle to pre-vent some of the hot air. my GF's Lexus also opens the sunroof

I will have to find an old post I had on T4R.org for screen shots I took of techstream for the 4runner, showing options you could change. since I don't have a 2016 Tacoma yet, I have been able to hook up the laptop to get screenshots of the options you could change on the Tacoma.

probably this weekend I will look into finding an updated version of techstream to install that will recognize 2016's.

They ride a touch stiffer on the road, but honestly the noise isn't much different. They seem to handle about the same and they're a size bigger. 265/75/16. Actually got them because I heard they do pretty well in the snow and Colorado winters can be tough.

Thanks, one of my coworkers says the duratracks he has on a '15 tacoma feel the same as stock but are a bit louder. I know the original KO's didn't do very well in snow, but the KO2 was supposed to be better, but are too new to tell. The duratracs had a good rating though. Yeah, I use mine as a ski truck all the time, so good snow performance is important

I know a couple people who have the duratracks and it seems 1/2 hate them and 1/2 love them. Heard good things about the ko2's, plus I like the look of them better. We'll see how they do this winter. Probably can't go wrong with either, even if you kept the stock ones.

Had a deposit on a magnetic gray, but after seeing this thread I changed my mind and came home this rig today. My first Tacoma ever (previously 4Runner guy)! Go blue or go home!
