My 2013 only has 29k now. Had a 1995 extended cab pre-tacoma 22re that ran for 225k with zero issues. Lost a battle with a Lincoln Navigator and was junked. Hope I'll be able to run this one until it melts :)

Should have approached Toyota about going from 06 with 400k to a 16. I wonder if they would have taken the publicity and given you a deal...?

I respect that you're passing it to them after 400k...hopefully they care for it as you did and we get to see 500k...

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
    This is awesome!

I'm approaching the 200K mark on my 2008. Purchased the vehicle brand new, driven off the dealership lot back in April of 2008.
My wife's 2003 4Runner is currently at the 265K mark. Vehicle was also purchased brand new back in March of 2003.

I strongly agree using only Mobil 1 fully Synthetic Oil along with a Mobil 1 Oil Filter for best performance and engine protection. I use Mobil 1 products for all my vehicles. That's all I've ever used, nothing else, never.

Just about any vehicle will last you more than a decade (or longer) if the proper and regular maintenance and care (oil changes, filter changes, sparkplug changes, lubrication, etc.) is performed on it.

Yes of course you'll have to change the battery, replace bulbs, tires-maybe the Alternator or Starter, basic things like that, but overall take care of your vehicle (be good to it-use and put the best that you can afford) and your vehicle will take care of you.

Such an awesome thread, and makes me so glad I just grabbed a new '15 - hope to run my 2nd gen as long as you ran yours!

Look forward to the 400k update!

Early on you said "i dont use this for work". Do you take a family road trip almost every weekend? What is your daily commute to work? Seems amazing. I had an 07 with a 120 mile daily commute the first 2 yrs i had it, and just traded it with 115k miles. And I by no means didnt go places with it...

My son is getting my 2005 with 117k miles when he turns 16. That's 8 years from now. A new frame buys a lot more time. Gonna be the coolest kid in school with a vintage truck. Enjoy the 2016!
