I rear ended somebody this morning on my way to work. He took off like he was going to go so I looked over my shoulder to check if it was clear and just as I turned back around I got hit by the airbag. it's more than likely totaled. IMG_0130.jpgIMG_0131.jpg

I'm fine. starting to feel a little sore now that the adrenaline is wearing off. But the only physical injury to me is a burn on my hand from the airbag. The other driver was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.

Looks fixable. But the only thing that matters is that everyone was ok.

Glad no one was hurt. Looks like the vehicle you hit had a fairly high bumper. Just looking at the pictures. What was it.

I did the same shit a few years back. I was only doing maybe 5 or 10 mpg in my accord. (No damage to the accord except some paint neither cars airbags went off) The insurance company settle for 25k and they had her on record that her neck hurt before the accident and she was on her cell phone at the time of the accident. The cop never gave me a ticket because she told him the same thing. Oh yeah I got dropped by the insurance company.

I hope everyone is ok but I suggest you get to the doctor so you don't lose your rights for medical.

    Sorry it happened.

How fast do you think you were going? Looks to be a lot of damage, speed related.

I was still in first gear and I wasn't reved that high so my guess would be around 10mph or less. There would have been less damage if he would have had a bumper on his truck. My crash bar hit his frame. He was at a dead stop and I never had a chance to hit the brakes.

So sorry you had an accident hope everything works out OK. You may have been going faster than you think you were cause the air bags are not supposed to deploy at really low speeds.

Didn't realize that you had just bought your 2011 last month. So sad. 2011's were the only year with the honeycomb grill.

Glad you're alright. Sucks. Maybe you'll come out ahead tho. What insurance do you have? I have aaa and they paid me 10k more than I paid for my old tundra when I nailed a tree w it. Silver lining for sure. Try and stay positive, I know how much it sucks to have your truck busted.
