Carne Asada fries represent my early 20s. Along side some cheap beer and scandalous tricks.

I use to love El Forestero and the huge Adalbertos burritos, but they're so greasy; Only for a hangover type. Gordito is a favorite for an everyday decent portion. Especially when there is a Gordito on campus, made early college classes bearable.

I don't go for burritos anymore. I always want just carnitas and guac. Or maybe street tacos, like adobada at Chando's.

Oh, except for the Big David's mulita special at Vallejo's. Damn.

I would pick a solid street taco or two over a burrito any day. Meat, little cilantro, guac and some crema, simple.

    ONIONS! :smack:

Oh, so actually one of my favorite secrets is Nela's (formerly Eva's) in old downtown Roseville. KILLER guac, really fresh and spicy pico de gallo, and awesome taco sauce. I usually get chile verde there, too. And a Negra. Anytime I run errands up in that area of 80, I'll always stop there.

LOL. It's like one block away from City Hall on, uh, Atlantic? The main street.
