So far so good. I have less than 150 miles on it so far. Like others have mentioned, the engine seems a little underwhelming. It feels like I really have to get on it to get it moving.

The brakes seem a little mushy to me, but I'm not used to driving such a big vehicle (I'm coming from a Mazda3) and it may just be me needing to get used to size/weight being stopped.

Ride is much better than I ever remember in my 1999 Prerunner! Cabin is also far quieter! The updates in technology for the interior are excellent and exceed most on our 2007 Acura TSX.

I really didn't want a sunroof and I'm glad I didn't get it based on what others are saying about headroom (or lack thereof). I'm not too tall (6') but I don't really care to have my head brushin' the roof while I'm driving! Also, because the JBL stereo system/speakers is only offered in packages that have the sunroof, I had to "settle" for the standard speakers, which are less than optimal. Speakers may be my first upgrade and I'm hoping I don't have to replace the whole stereo/nav system to do it!

That's a terrible deal when one tales the Registration fee and "Dealer fee" into consideration. not even $500 below MSRP

Didn't say that particular quote was great. Just pointing out they were discounting and trying to deal. Unlike the MSRP only dealers.

Those invoice numbers aren't lies from the people you are talking to. The salespeople, and even the sales manager, have no idea what the dealership paid for the truck. Very few people a dealership know what each car cost the dealership. They get 2% holdback from the manufacturer, they get incentives from the manufacturer, they get incentives from the distributor, they get advertising, etc, etc. That invoice number is just something they put out there for the sales people to not go below. Anywhere between invoice and msrp is good money

Invoice prices are readily available......What we will never know is how much they actually pay for the vehicle. So Invoice is a good reference to start with....or below. Can always go up. People are trying to get money off MSRP rather than making offers at Invoice or above.

It varies so much by state and region that I pretty much gave up my search for "true" invoice. I guess I'm the sucker they are looking for.

Settled on truecar "invoice" + ttl (no dealer doc or any additional fees) with a maxxed out kbb trade-in value for my trade (2013 DCSBOR +tow, 37k miles).

    TRD DCSBOR +tow +prem&tech&JBL

    36500 - 27500 + ttl ($400) = 9400.

Shrug. I'm sure I could have done better, but the tires on my trade are bald and I get to keep driving it until the '16 comes in (Looking like December).

That'll be pretty much what I do. I'm all about saving money and getting deals, but I'm not going to go back and forth for weeks and put hours into searching and haggling. In the end you either want the truck or not. As long as I get a fair trade in and fair price, I'm ok with that. I don't have to get the best freaking deal ever made.

Damn you got 27500 for your trade? I have a 2014 DCSB Sport 4x4 AT + Tow + Entune + factory alarm. 23k miles, trying to get 28,500-29 for mine.

Anyhow, 36,500 isnt bad for that, does that include the dealer fee? I'm at 36,400 (including dealer fee) for a similar set up, non JBL but long bed so its a wash. Comes out to about $500 over invoice without the dealer fee.

    Where are you located?

    Still in Boone ;)

36500 includes any fees other than ttl. 36900 OTD - 27500 trade...

FWIW, my tires are well worn, but my truck is mint.

Talked to dealer last night and they insisted there wasnt much mark up on the Tacoma and they didnt make that much money even selling it MSRP. I started pulling up the invoice cost vs msrp and they wanted to throw the TDA fee in on top the invoice to say it was only a $1600 mark up over invoice even on the most loaded Tacoma so they wouldnt budge on price. I kindly walked out, told them I had an offer for $2400 off msrp and they acted like that was the end of the world. Even though I have seen people on here with even better deals
