Aw man. Well it will be fun either day. I wish we could camp but our dog can't ride a moto and can't spend the night home alone...

Anyone know any good spots to set up camp in AL? Looking for some sort of mountains with scenery to test out my new RTT. Possibly Birmingham area? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Talladega isn't far from Birmingham. I've only been there once but there were a few decent places to camp with some great views.

I'm guessing you want somewhere not in a state park. Like nagorb said check out talladega NF. You go to the range station in talladega on hwy21, or call them and they will be glad to mail you some maps and other info on the forest. I just did the mail route, but haven't had time to check out the info beyond looking through the package they sent. Looks to be some good info.

I wound up going with Tepui. I've heard great things about both brands but went with a Tepui Ruggedized.

Cool! I've heard Tepui is a company also. One day maybe we can compare them.

Just stumbled across the Alabama bunch on this website! Glad to see we got our own spot. I have been a member of TW for a while but just now started checking back in every once in a while. I have had several Tacomas over the years but just traded a 2011 Sport in on one of the last 15's. Not a big fan of the 16's. Grill is too frickin big, JMO. I'm sure they will do some sort of face lift in the future. Here's what I ended up withTruck.jpg

Nice ride! I'd have to agree on the 3rd gen, though people say it looks better in person. What area you from?

I know that we have a 2nd Generation marketplace but it covers the entire USA and Canada.

What I am looking for is a Barcelona Red camper shell for my 2015 DCSB Tacoma . If you guys see a used one for sale please let me know.

I live in the Hoover area. Saw a 16 on the freeway this past weekend. IMO, Toyota totally dropped the ball on this one. The truck looks cheap. With the stamped bed and the big plastic front end. For the price they are charging for some of the 16's, I think Toyota could have rolled out something better than this. I guess I just hate change. Maybe it will grow on me. I don't expect I will be buying another one for at least 250K miles. 1100 miles on the one I have now, so it will be a long while before I am in the market again. What part of Bama are you in?

Did you put those pin stripes on or did it come this way. My mgm needs something like that.

I'll keep an eye out for you on the road.
