My number ($35,816) included the destination, just not the $599 dealer processing fee, TTL. Since I am trading my vehicle, TTL will be minimal

When a dealer quotes $# + ttl for ordering, wouldyou expect them to add TDA when purchasing?

No, and I would refuse to pay it. If they add TDA they can bring holdback into the equation. Im not buying the truck because of advertising, I'm buying it because of my own personal research. TDA should either already be included in the quote or not a factor

i placed $500 deposit so if they do add TDA upon delivery/purchase then if i refuse, what are the likelyhood of then not refunding my deposit? Or does it differ from dealers to dealers?

I specifically asked my dealer if there were any other fees outside of the dealer processing fee. He said no, so I will stick with $35,816 plus $599 processing and attempt to get them to cut that in half. (MD is legally capped at $299 but I could only find a dealer in VA willing to deal near invoice)

My guess would be dealer dependent. Mine doesn't require a deposit...

Depends, one dealer told me today they needed a non refundable deposit. I ordered one a few weeks ago from another dealer, initially when I asked they said it was non refundable however when I expressed my discontent with that I was informed they are refundable and they dont usually do a non refundable deposit. For me i felt like it would limit my negotiating power for my trade and anything else if they knew they were going to get my deposit no matter what

Just put a deposit down on the following.

    DCLB TRD Sport 4x4 V6
    Inferno
    Graphite Interior
    Tow Package
    Premium and Tech with JBL
    No other options

    $37,159.44 + ttl

Contacted 10 plus dealers in the area. One came back with $38,000. All others came back with $38,975. The one I went with came back with the above quote.

In DFW. PM me if interested and I'll let you know who I worked with.

Truck should be here tomorrow. Pretty happy with the price, but could probably have done a little better if I waited a few months. Its worth it to me to have it now for $500-$1000 more versus waiting.

    DCSB Limited 4x4 V6
    White
    Tow Package
    Tonneau (which I didn't want)

    $39,103.44 including dest $950, doc $299, and TDA $1100.

Offered $500 over invoice and dealer agreed. He found one and directed it to dealership before I had even decided between sport and limited. After much communication, discovered "gulf states" invoice is higher and according to dealer there is absolutely no way to not pay the freaking $1100 gulf states TDA. I still think this isn't a bad price for a Limited. Best of any regional dealer I could find.

I did get them to agree to throw in new bed rail caps so when i remove the Tonneau I don't have those ugly cut outs for the latch down points.

Still feel i'm getting screwed on the 1100 somehow. no way that is all TDA!?!?

Will check the actual invoice and build sheet tomorrow when the truck (hopefully) arrives. Hoping to offer them $40,000 even if they include the 7 or 8 year extended warranty.

I just signed buyers order for mine @ invoice. It helps that a long time friend has been working there for 16 years. He is pressuring me though to get the rust and under for $599. I usually do in case I keep in instead of trading in 3 years. I probably will seeing how they say they also gave me more for my runner than they would have somebody else. (been dealing with this dealership for 10 years now.)

If anyone wants to pay 5000 dollars above MSRP, you can hurry on down to North Hollywood Toyota in Southern California.

That's right, they want 39,340 dollars for MSRP for an DCLBOR

None yet. Vehicle on order. Due around Halloween 2016
My truck on order is priced (MSRP) with all options at $39,553.00.
A dealer not in my area offered me a special order at $250.00 over dealer invoice. I showed the local dealer and they matched it on the spot. No hesitation. Of course I've bought many many times from the local dealer and that helps I'm sure but they started out at it being a sticker price vehicle.
The final price I was given was $37,757.00.
Supposedly that's $250.00 over invoice. Of course they may be planning on hitting me hard on my trade and gaining back some there. Or the extended warranty, tire warranty financing etc etc. sales price is but a fraction of most deals.
Also if you are a long time and loyal Toyota customer then go to the main Toyota.com web page. Shoot them an email and ask if/when customer loyalty incentives will be part of their business model. They have access to all your purchase history. I did and got a nice rebate offer on any purchase of a new Toyota within 12 months.
I have a great dealer contact if anyone wants it.

Rat dealer? I had not yet discussed price with them. I assure you they are not a rat dealer and I am unaccustomed to having strangers inform me on how I should conduct business. Besides my order was already placed. But thanks for your concern. I'm sure you meant well.
