That's about right. Depends on what region you are in.

Each examiner is given state(s) to cover. Some examiners are quicker than others.

Some of them. Most of the ones I've talked to about it support it, but the only ones who are making the news regularly are the ones who oppose it, especially Portland's whiny crybaby chief of police. He's pretty anti-gun in general, though. Pretty much every gun issue that's come up he's had an opinion on it, and it's always been on the "more laws!" side of things.

I'd be cool with that. He's from there originally, I understand.

Best of all, it's going to be 5 miles from the house. Picking up some new toys (AR, 1911, and 1873 Peacemaker) by then.

Very cool, I've always liked the peacemaker, what 1911 do you have in mind?

Can't remember the make off the top of my head, though the reviews of the Sig Sauer are really good. 9mm, with an interchangable .22 slide/barrel. I've looked at so many. 9mm matches my concealed carry piece, so I am only buying one pistol round.

The Peacemaker I'm looking at is the Umberti, though I may change my mind again and go with a Cimmaron open-top conversion chambered for .38 Special.

Too many ARs to even consider at this point. Still waiting for my truck to get built!

Sighted in my Rem 700 today. Bore sighted it by pulling the bolt and looking down the bore. Looked pretty good so I fired a shot and hit top left of 2" target. Love when that happens. Did a bit of adjustment and pushed it back to 100 yds and fired a 3-shot group under 1" center to center.

    16AF6908-886E-4702-968D-2944C86EC0C0_zps_a871f159599d62f116eb9c4d3c30066087a52df3.jpg

Pushed it back to 150 yds, sighted it in 1" high and called it good. I'm pushing a 130 grain TTSX at 3000 fps for my hunting load - should be pretty effective on whitetail.
