    11.7L/100km!!

Nice. That's encouraging for sure. That'll get 684km per tank with an 80L tank!! That's awesome for a truck.

Too bad the truck is already a little heavier than the 2nd gen. It would of been nice if it could of got the same bigger truck some half tons are running. Lots of trucks now have 135 L tanks that can easily push over 1000 km of range.

It would be great to only have to fill up every 1000km or so, I'm satisfied with every 600+ kms. It's my daily to and from work, I don't put a ton of kms on my daily vehicle!

The family will still fit better in the Explorer so that'll be taking the majority of the kms we drive.

Down to 11.4 L/100 km highway and average for the tank at 350 km now is 12.3 L/100 km, which includes quite a bit of time idling playing with stuff.

    so ugly though ugh.
    I thought the same.
And I hate driving stick in traffic.
I'd need to feel the clutch etc on a truck. I always hear that they have long throws and high bite points. complete opposite of what I am used to. I think I'd probably go with auto for the truck and just be smart with driving in the winter

So the dealerships don't appear to be budging on MSRP locally, but are willing to throw in accessories. I'm probably going to wait until Nov/Dec to see if rates come down. They usually do around the holidays.

wanna go 1000km off 50L gotta go TDI haha.

but I agree, 600km or so is pretty good. I average 300-400KM a week, so wouldn't be too bad if I had to fill up every week and a half.
I'm trying to figure out what it will cost to fill. Fuel is cheap right now but it will probably go up. at 99c/L it would be around $80. Only $20 more than I pay now for filling my TDI and would be close to the same mileage.

Nov/Dec will be way too early. When dealers have unsold trucks on the lot, that's when things begin to tilt in your favor. As long as the demand is strong, Toyota will charge what the market will bear. I've put off my purchase for another year. I'll wait to see if they will have end of the model year red tag days on the Tacoma. If they don't, this will indicate strong demand. At $44,000 for the Limited, I'm back to looking at the F150, when the employee pricing promotion is back. This past summer, that promotion came to a $6000 discount plus a $4000 "delivery allowance" discount, that's $10,000 discount before setting before the haggling begins! And there's no comparison between the roominess of the cabin of the supercrew cab and Tacoma double cab. I'll probably end up taking a barrel of lube and buying the Tacoma because of its garage friendly size, among other things. Right now, I'm having trouble getting my head wrapped around spending $50,000 taxes in, on a Taco, and I'll be a cash buyer, so financing rates aren't part of my calculations.

Mine does it too, but very rarely... it has to be basically perfect shitty conditions (still haven't figured out what those are)

Mine did it too but Toyota fixed it. If they could not then I would have sold the truck or tried to get my money back. It was that bad

My dealership has tried to fix it 3 times. Now it one whistles if their is a 70 km plus cross wind and that's good enough for me. I don't want them to make it worse again.

No, sorry, probably should have written that better. The truck shows an average L/100 km and at this point, with about 350 km on the truck, it's at 12.3.

I'm just under half a tank and it's saying I have 262 km to go till empty with 357 on the ODO.

It's been very consistent in saying I'll have a total of about 620 km to the tank.

I wish I could do that haha.

I'm looking at 5 year finance with 20-25k down. Not even gonna bother with trade in. I'd get nothing for my jetta and I'd be pissed letting it go. I have more in the engine than the initial cost of the car haha. I'd never sell it. I'm planning on giving it to my girlfriend once I get the taco. then I can still drive it, and she has no car.

But plus I want to wait and make sure there isn't any huge problems with the new ones. After all it is a new engine and transmission on them (from what I understand not new to toyota, but new in this application) Besides waiting would be smart in my case, I'm still waiting for some speeding tickets to come off my record.
