On the note of midsize isn't the avalanche considered a midsize? I'm not even sure if GM still makes it but either way wouldn't that be considered midsize?

Nope. It was the same size as a Chevy Tahoe or Regular Cab Regular Box Silverado.

Some of the rumors out there include Ford building a Bronco off the Ranger at the same plant as well, but I don't think a Bronco would sell well. The 4Runner is barely hanging on, in all reality, and I can't see a Bronco outselling the 4Runner especially when Ford already has the Explorer in about the same size but unibody.

The bronco was a cool build though.
But like you said no one is interested in them anymore.

I'm surprised toyota isnt even making the FJ anymore. My cousin bought one a few years ago he absolutely loves it.

One can never have too many light bars.
Way too big of rims to be an off road truck.

The mid size war is just getting started with the rebirth of the GM twins and the Gen 3 Tacoma!
I'm willing to bet we'll see a new Ranger in the next couple of years..

As others have said, there will likely be changes made for our market before the Ranger shows up here. That would likely be one of them :p

Take off all the unneeded accessories; bed graphics, side steps, 20' wheels, bumper lighting and that hideous antenna up top and it would look pretty decent. Ford better go all out on this one to break into this market again.

    Why can't you haul anything with a pickup with a 6.2L v8?

You are blind....right? Agree with what you say but the Toyota is no looker. Way out of proportion. The front snout looks to be as long as the bed
