I would just buy the upgraded model off of someone on here after they upgrade to an aftermarket one. I would just like to know if it works because my stereo works fine for me. I would just really like Bluetooth capabilities and a usb, but not for $1000+

Sound is subjective, Most listed to compressed audio on Mp3s and over the air, so the upper end sound systems leave a lot on the table. The stock JBL System is the shit for a truck like this. In y opinion worth every dime to upgrade to the Amped Woofer.

I don't see how anyone would want more than that unless they like their bass to rattle the neighborhood. The best system I ever heard was in an Audi S8 B&O Even with that I still like the system they offered in the new Tacoma. I listened to both in 2015s before ordering and spending the extra $700 for the JBL.

My 15 had the standard Entune system. This blows that away, It is always amazing what an additional sub can offer especially at low volumes. Even a cheap one.

The premium JBL upgrade is what, $3K more?

You can get competition level sound systems for that much money.
I would say it's not worth it. JBL, while better than average, is not top of the line audio.

The JBL with the Sub is $700 more. The Premium and Tech package has two options. One with the sub and one without.

It's a complete package with moonroof, nanny tech, dual Climate control etc. I know people will say for $700 one can get an installer to add a "better" amp and Sub. But as far as I am concerned its already plenty good enough and stock at that.

If people want "competition sound" and the Premium Tech package it will cost far more than $3000.

I thought you had to buy JBL in a package. I was not given an individual option for JBL audio when ordering my sport. Not that I care at the point anyways but would have been nice to know.

    Still expensive though.

You have to buy the Premium Tech package to get all the tech goodies.....$2300 without the JBL Sub. Another $700 buys the JBL sub as an addition. For some used to putting amps and speakers in their vehicles, it won't measure up. For those of us who don't care to have "competition" sound and/or people messing with the truck , its plenty good enough, and the best Toyota has to offer stock. IMO well worth the $700 more.

So it is $3K to upgrade.
You can't buy the base packaged for the Sport, OR, or SR5 and just spend $700 to upgrade your audio. You have to pay $2300 for the better package and $700 for subs. So you are paying $3K in essence for just upgraded audio and a few other stupid bells and whistles.

If someone wants good audio, FAR cheaper ways to go about it.

I'm def glad I ordered with the JBL package. I used to be int car audio and once we started our family I put it aside. Since the. I've groaned at the stereo inevery vehicle we've had since.

This JBL system simple sounds awesome at low volume. Nicely tuned. Can be loud but w/out the pressure of the new 2000w 18" subs with 3" throws

Great value for the money, especially if you like audio w/out the hassle of dealing with aftermarket

Do you guys just pick out what you want to read or was it really that hard to comprehend? He isn't comparing his BMW system to the Toyota JBL system. He was simply replying to Z50 who stated "any audio components from the factory are crap" and proving him wrong. Nothing more, nothing less.

If features including Dual Zone Climate Control, heated front seats, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, auto-headlamps, power tilt/slide moonroof, Entune Premium JBL Audio, and more are just "stupid bells and whistles" OF COURSE its not worth $2300 to someone who does not want them.

For those of who DID want them they are worth the additional $2300 and another $700 for the Entune Premium JBL Audio system, which adds six JBL speakers and 1 subwoofer

Anyone can get the Plain SR5 if they want to build their own truck inside and out. Some of us were willing to pay for the "stupid bells and whistles"

I have been saying exactly that' all along Full frequency response at low volumes.
Which makes all the difference between the Standard Premium and tech and the Entune Premium system with the JBL SUB for $700 more

That's the thing, he's not comparing them. He said nothing about comparing the two different systems. He was only replying to Z50s ignorant post. Carry on..

Looks like your post came right out of the manual....

And how much did you pay for this system from the factory? Because the last 'high end stereo system' I saw in a 'high end car' the price of it was total bullshit and I could of built something WAY better for a lot less. You have a lot of bells and whistles in that description. An Audison Bit One Processor can do all of that, and more, for a lot less $$$.

The only factory audio system I've heard that sounded great was in a car with a $120k price tag. For the record everything installed was Focal Audio from the factory.

95% of all factory installed stereo's are not done correctly, do not have proper sound staging, and isn't worth how much they are charging for it. Most buyers are not audiophiles so the manufactures put a bunch of bells and whistles into the system to sell it.

So is it a part of the TRD sport package on the SR5. on the canadian site it doesn't mention anything about the JBL when you add the TRD package.
Does say all the other stuff like the dual zone climate, moonroof, wireless charging etc.

Also different product lines. You can compare the bose to JBL and people are saying the JBL is better. So now you're comparing a Toyota to a BMW, which is not even close to a fair comparison. The vehicles have different focuses. I would be curious how much that factory BMW upgrade costs as well in comparison

anyone that thinks Bose is good audio, do not know anything about audio lol. Bose just has good advertisement...their audio is not worth the price its sold for. they have good sound...if the price was about 20% less
