Higher population areas seem to be sticking to MSRP and even more. But they have buyers so who can blame them?

    correct.
ToMoCo, like all vehicle manufacturers, have the MSRP. Sometimes dealers can charge more due to demand. Sometimes they charge less due to lack of demand. It's called capitalism. And sorry if that has become a bad word in modern PC America...but it IS the best system.

And the "market adjustment" is nothing new. Dealers have been doing it for as long as there have been dealerships. The new VW Bug. The Miata. The Corvette. New Mustang. Camaro....etc...etc...etc...

I remember when it was hard to find a new Harley due to low production numbers a few decades ago. But, when you did...you could ride it for a year or 2 and damn near sell it for what you paid for it.

Supply. Demand. Capitalism. Know it. Live it. Love it. God Bless America!!!

I would avoid Dublin Toyota at all costs, they are old school about how they handle customers. I went in and when I asked what they could offer, they came back with nothing but a monthly payment scribbled on a blank piece of paper. They acted confused and irritated when I asked to see an itemized quote...with an actual price of the truck. They were trying to hide the 8k mark up. I walked out and immediately was chased down with an offer for 2k over sticker. I kept walking. Very happy I did after getting below sticker from Toyota Marin :D

Guys, I'll tell you a little secret. As long as idiots are standing in line to pay ridiculous prices, the prices will stay that way, or go even higher.

I wouldn't consider them idiots. I bet one could survey your personal material possessions and find many that you paid more for than someone else, due to...wait for it...SUPPLY & DEMAND!

I remember the fall of 2014 when the new C6 Corvette hit the dealerships...And I wanted one in a bad way. Problem was, damn near every dealer was over MSRP. Worse, I wanted a convertible (rag top not targa top).

I went to a Chevy dealer who I had bought a Vette and several Chevy trucks from. He said he wouldn't have a vert until spring of 2015 and it would surely be waaay above MSRP. He suggested I go to a dealer with larger allocation. I did. I paid MSRP. I traveled 6 hours (about 300 miles). But, I got my C6 convertible. Red. Black top. 6 speed manual. Capitalism Bitches :D

It is not very intelligent to pay those kind of prices, IMHO. I always buy vehicles at the end of the year, with a big reduction in msrp. I don't have to have something right when it is released, it's just silly IMHO. Also that creates a bigger "demand", and also gives ammo to the dealer to command the inflated price.

One can never have too many light bars.
It's definitely a Data Entry Error. Similar to the Tundra with a $400,000 MSRP that was on here a while back.

I too shopped for 2014 Vettes but anyone who is into Corvettes knows there are a handful of Dealers that sold them with GM Supplier Pricing at $8000 off MSRP for 3LTs with Z51 packages back in 2014 and still do. Kerbecks is the largest high Volume dealership in the nation. The best prices can be found at MacMulkin in NH. Criswell's and Less Stanford are other Corvette dealers that discounted out of the box.My local dealer who serviced my 08 was asking $5000 above MSRP and they only had one so I travelled to Kerbecks in NJ to look at them in all colors and decided they looked like a Marvel design for the latest Transformer movies. So I sold my 08 with it's harmonic balancer and oil pan gasket issues fixed and bought a 12 MX5 instead. Driving a slow car fast beats having to drive a fast car slow.........Ho Hum Vettes were a bucket list thing for awhile. I still buy the $10 raffle tickets sponsored by the Corvette Museum now an then. IF I won one I would sell it or take the money instead and spend part of it on the New Fiat Spider coming out next year.

Kerbecks does not even sell used Vette trades. They keep them for a week then load a truck and send them to auction,

Yeah maybe...I still cannot believe the usual idiot people thought I was passing off a review from a member on the Lexus forum I am a member of, as my own when anyone can cut and paste the first three lines of any prose and find it's source. For what purpose?.... 1/3rd of my posts are liked. I don't need the further back patting.

What is this? Harvard? Amazing Ignorance and shit stirring lives on this board.

I considered Kerbecks or MacMulkin...but MaxiPrice in Atlanta had what I wanted. Flew in one way. The sales lady picked me up at airport. Drove home the new vette. It was an enjoyable experience. I later had a C6 coupe delivered from MaxiPrice. I've had 6 corvettes since the 1990's including a sweet classic 1971 LT-1. But like Harleys...I'm over it. I would like another flats boat though. But daymmmm, they are as expensive as a new Vette

Edit: Yes, the new C7 doesn't work for me. It is just too over the top design.

HA! that's the way I bought my MX5. Flew to AutoNation in Florida. They were $2500 less than the same 2012 Miata SEs and GTs available locally. $89 flight an airport pick up and smiles all the way home.

I am over Harleys as well after I recently sold my 14 EG Ultra. Riding sucks around here. That is the only thing I miss about being out west. The riding was better. You are more into Vettes than I was. I bought and 05 Vert w/26K for $29500 and sold it a few months later for $29K and found an 08 Vert Z51 for $33500 with 15K in North Carolina. I spent $2000 on that car and sold it for $37900 back in February and was going to buy the Redesigned Miata, and bought the 12 as a hold over. I decided after seeing the new Miata , I liked mine better and instead used half the money I was going to blow on the Miata for the 16 Tacoma. WIN WIN>
