so we can race it in class 2000/7100 if we choose to. personaly i dont wana link it, then ill have/want to fuck with the motor and be racing a class with people who have larger budgets devoted to racing. ill honestly admit i love the truck but dont want to be that deep in $ into it, its not worth it for me. rather use that extra cash to have some fun racing it or for other expenses when stuff breaks, belive it or not im on a budget lol

but sure if i wanted to i could have dropped more cash to link it but it wasnt worth it for me, the only reason i considerd it was for resale value. i did everything with the truck i wanted, only thing im wanting to change is ditching thoes rear wheel spacers ASAP lol. and maybe the rear axle depending how the tundy 10.5 holds up, it was just a pretty affordable and easy swap so figured id try it out since the other guy from the shop with the tundy 9.5 has had no issues.

Truck is looking fantastic man. I doubt you'll have issues with the 10.5. Especially if you truss it.

    Digging it man. Good stuff.

Looks sick man and I couldn't agree more with you about your decision not to go with links. Your spot on that if you ever race it you will be in another class of trucks with deeper racing budgets. 7100 or 2000 is my dream one day too.

We're biased obviously, but I'm a big fan of 7100. And I say that as a guy who worked hard to push SNORE to create Class 2000. Class 2000 is cool too but I personally don't like the motor rules as much as I do in Class 7100.

The beauty of 7100 in my opinion is that the stock motor rule keeps the playing field level. This past weekend we got beat off the line both days by a single cab 4.0 Ranger. Our 3.4 with an auto just didn't have the juice to out drag him. BUT...it's close enough to be able to get us enough power to make up the difference in the rough allowing us to run our truck competitively in class.

We would not be competitive in Class 2000 right now with our stock 3.4. Well, we could be, but we'd need other guys to have issues. In a straight up fight we aren't beating V-8 Rangers and single cabs with 5.3 Chevys in them unless they have problems.

It costs a bit more to race 7100 in BITD, no doubt. But the rules are about as good as we could get them I think to keep it simple and fun. Either way, 2000 and 7100 are great opportunities for guys to get out of spectating and in to racing if they're so inclined.

We're pretty content with our leaf springs!

The ump, r2c, advanced filters etc fit good mounted vertical just in front of the suspension. The way the filters are designed they have a drain for dirt and dust after the filter spins it out.
