Speaker box ideas

Post up your custom boxes! I am working on mine and getting the details down on the pieces. I would like to see some others to catch some ideas before I make the final panels and get these ready to go in.

 

Could you let us know how that PDR plays your speaker once it's set up? Alpine apparently lifted alot from the PDX and reused it in the PDR.

 

Will do. I will be wiring it in Monday when I finish all the sound deadening.

These are in the truck now but I have not had a chance to wire them up. I plan to install my component speakers and finish all the sound deadening this week.

 

Any progress over the weekend? I'm interested in how you built the subwoofer box in it current location?

 

No was house hunting all weekend and couldn't do it. I took out the whole interior last week and sound deadened the floor and ran wiring underneath everything for the sub power and speaker wire. I stopped working because I honestly am thinking about removing the rear trays and building a panel. The subwoofer box was a total bitch to get it to fit; I didn't remove anything and worked around the child safety hooks. I did some measurements and calculated the box at .24 cubic feet. The optimal size for my sub is .6 cubic feet. Plus, doing the wiring without cutting my panels is much harder than I thought it would be.

I will have it done sometime this week I hope!

Focal Performance PS 165Vs in the front, Focal Performance AC165 in the rear, an Alpine PDR-V75 amp with an AudioControl LC6i controller and a Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW1000 shallow enclosure sub. I have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to install it all yet. It's very hard shoe-horning everything in the back without cutting a ton of plastic and doing the install clean.

 

I like this setup. Thinkin I might go for the same
